To load your digital pictures onto your computer, youll need a card reader (hooked up to your computer via a USB) and your memory card. Some cameras allow you to hook a USB right into your camera without removing the memory card.
If required, youll load your memory card into the card reader. Your digital media will appear as another drive on your computer. Click the drive and your photos will appear in a folder on the drive. You can view your pictures immediately by double-clicking the file. From here, you can save your pictures directly to any folder on your computer.
Additional notes:

  • Consider purchasing photo manipulation software like PhotoShop or Fireworks. Use this software to fix common photo problems (poor light, etc) or add effects like text and color.
  • Print your photos on photo paper.
and --------------- the easiest and the fastest way to transfer pictures from camera to computer is to do the following: 1.connect cam via usb link. 2.click on windows explorer and find the icon which confirms the camera is connected. This will show the "drive" concerned. 3.doublke click on the "drive"...until it shows the letters DCIM. 4 doublc click again and now will show all the pictures on the camera. 5.highlight ALL pictures(select all).Use CTRL to hold these and now look to move these to a file of your choosing. 6.once your arrow highlights the file release the mouse and now the files will transfer one by one until completed.

Hi there, I have changed computers and no longer have the software to import my videos off my Panasonic SDR-H80. Is there somewhere I can find the software? How do I go about fixing this?

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing in transferring videos from the Camcorder to the Computer without using the supplied CD ROM. Please note that the driver and software from the supplied CD ROM is not required to transfer videos from the Camcorder to the Computer.

Once you connect the Camcorder to the computer, the Camcorder will recognize as a removable drive under My Computer. You can copy the required videos from the Removable drive.

Please follow the below guidelines for connecting the Camcorder to the Computer.

Once you connect the Camcorder to the Computer, you will get a display to select the media. Select Either HDD or SD card from the option shown in the LCD screen.

You will get the removable drive under My Computer. Please see the below picture to view the folder structure.

I bought a used dxg 587v camcorder but did not get the cd-rom with application software. Can I down load software or do I need cd-rom and where are these items available

Here is the Manual for your DXG-587V Camcorder: DXG-587V HD User's Manual

I could only find the drivers for the DXG-589V Camcorder, and since I don't have a DXG-587V I can't test if the installation works or not, but it is worth a try. Here is your driver download: DXG-589V

Install the software after you download the driver. Plug in your Camcorder after the installation is complete. Your operating system should recognize the Camcorder and install the drivers.

If this driver doesn't work for you, you can contact DXG Customer Support to see if they can send you a Driver Disk, or a link to a working driver: http://www.dxgusa.com/online-help

Cd rom damage i need a copy of the cd installation

Hey there mate,

Heres the whole CD From: Extreme Computer

site: www.extremecomputer.net/m50/M50CD.ISO

Download that. It's an .iso file, which is an image for burning to a cd. You can use a free program call ImgBurn to burn it to a disk.
You can get ImgBurn from:

http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/ImgBurn/1128426215/1

When you have burned the disk, just put it back into the drive and it should work.

Have a nice xmas!

Device manager/USB problem?

To get your camcorder to work properly with your PC (and show up in Device Manager), you must install the software (the driver and editing software) that came with your camcorder. Your system also must meet the following minimum requirements: * CPU : Intel® Pentium III 450MHz processor compatible or better * Operating system : Windows® 98SE/ME/ 2000/XP * RAM : 128 MB or more * CD-ROM: 4x CD-ROM drive * VIDEO : 65,000-color or better video display card * Available USB port * Hard Disc : 4GB (8GB recommended) If the camcorder is still not being recognized after you have installed the software, reboot your computer, and then try another USB port or another USB cable. If your problem persists, contact Samsung Customer Care at 1-800-SAMSUNG (1-800-726-7864). Be sure to have the model number of your camcorder handy and basic information about your PC such as operating system, kind of CPU, and available memory.
