It has to be shook each time i use it, also can the battiers stay on charge when not in use?

If you have a machine with a li-ion battery it MUST me placed as soon as it stopped on the charger and leaf them on the charger and as soon as they get slowing down the rpm of the machine change the battery it has no memory effect or capacity problem Everything opposite to compare with nickel cadmium batteries ,and that because of the old Makita machines with only have 2 battery connectors are now for 60% modified with a 3 (star)contact battery holder by Makita if it was in warranty time by Makita, the switch and contact plate are modified because of the deep discharge protection of makita because it new (star) li-ion batterys have been allways by every brand on protected against discharge with a similar or comparable protection with a small circuit with a refference power on it , a li ion battery can be boosted with a special cadex charger that will bring back the referrenced power so the charger will if boosted working again on the battery . but if your machine shooks has to do with a contact or soldering problem om the switch possibly or to short carbon brushes but not by the battery .

Why did it stop working?

Depending upon its age and amount of use, the battery may no longer be fully chargeable.

I do have one for sale. How much are you willing to pay for it.
I just replaced my mastercraft drill for a bosch one. I live in Canada and could sell this part to you for cheap.

Give me news.

Cordless drill battery

you'll need the model number to find parts that will work with it. Here's one, but I have no idea if it'll work for your drill: http://www.rakuten.com/prod/12v-nicd-battery-pack-for-hp1202m-and-sa120-ryobi-1311148/227915151.html

Coleman 18 volt battery and charger

Typically, nothing will fit it except a Coleman battery, but you can try. Be sure to test before you buy, and you will need to be really sure the voltage is the same. Be blessed.

Why does cordless drill charger light blink off after 3 seconds?

It could be a defective battery or it might just be normal for the charger and it lets you know its charging. Look in the manual for the tool and it should tell you why it blinks and turns off. If you dont have the manual i'm sure you can look it up online.

The charger or the battery is dead???

The most simple thing to do would be to borrow a battery or charger from someone. You can also check the output voltage from the charger if you have a meter. You can also check the battery voltage before and after charging to see if it changes. If more than one battery is not taking a charge, odds are it's the charger. Or just buy another charger as they are cheap. I keep one in my work van and have one permanently ready to go at the home workshop. Hope this helps. The chargers are usually cheaper than the batteries, at least if you have something like a DeWalt. Good luck!
