Check for 240V at the outlet. If you have 240V, check the continuity of the thermostats on the element housing, and the element itself. If those are ok you could have an issue with the timer.
Good luck!

Dryer is cool not getting hot?

1. Close the dryer door and press the "Start" button for at least one second. Some dryer brands require the button to be pressed for several seconds. If the drum tumbles, you can eliminate the possibility of a problem with the electrical circuit that supplies the motor.
2. Check all the connections on the back of the dryer. Many dryers have two electrical circuits--one for the heat and one for the tumbling motor. If the motor works, but there is no heat, check to see if the larger plug is plugged into its receptacle. Your dryer may have two plugs--one small regular household plug and one larger 240-volt plug for the heat. Both must be plugged in for the dryer to work properly. The larger, three-pronged 240-volt plug will not fit in a normal household outlet; it needs a special dryer outlet. The plug cannot be cut down to fit.
3. Check the circuit breakers or fuse panel if the dryer runs but there is no heat.

Dryer works but has no heat. Voltage is good. Could it be the TCO?

I suspect that your heater strips in the dryer have burned out. Just to give you an idea, I have replaced my heater strips in my 40+ year Whirlpool dryer two additional times over the years. You will have to take the back off of the dryer after disconnection the 220V plug and examine the heater strips.

I keep getting an F40 code on my dryer. I unplug the dryer and plug it back in and then it will run - but now the heat is not coming on in the dryer. I am so frustrated. This dryer is only 3 1/2 years old.

The dryer will not heat. The glow plug glows but the gas does not turn on all of the time, I got it to turn on one time when on the permapress setting.

Dryer has no heat, Drum is working

Hi I will give you some tips on what to check then you may have to tear into the machine. First reset your breaker for the dryer it should be on it's own breaker in the electrial box. They use a double pole if it's 220 v once you reset the breakers without any clothes in the dryer try useing it on heat again. If it still don't work you need to be sure you have Voltage to the wall pulg on both sides. You can do this if you have a volt meter or if you don't you can buy a cheep one at radio shack for ten bucks. once you have a meter you need to put the black lead on the grond of the plug and one on one of the other legs of the wall plug, set your meter to 220 volts so you don't damage your meter. If you have 110 volts to the wall socket then your next step is to test the heating element with the ohm meter setting but you need to remove the cover to do this and for me to do this I need the dryer model to give you specfic directions to get to the heater. Hope this helps.

Amana gas dryer only heats first 20 minutes

Check your ducts that the heat blows out through. make sure there is no plug up in the dryer or in the ductwork.
You may have a problem with the termosensor or the high temp cut out safety switch/sensor. This sensor would be somewhere in the exhaust of the dryer.
