IVE NEVER WORKED ON A SNOWPLOW BUT NOONE ELSE IS OFFERING ANY HELP. IT SOUNDS LIKE FLUID IS LEAKING BY THE VALVE AND PRESSURIZING THE LEFT SIDE ALL THE TIME. IT ALSO COULD BE YOUR NO-SPILL COUPLERS CLOGGED OR NOT OPENING FULLY PREVENTING FLOW OF FLUID ON THE LEFT SIDE. GOOD LUCK. JODY

What else can causes water hammer if arrestors don't work?

If your question is about what causes water hammer:
It is usually caused by fast acting solenoid valves i.e. Washing machine valves, dishwasher valves, etc. this kind of water hammer sounds like a large bang when the valves closes suddenly. The other kind of water hammer is when one of the seats are loose in an angle stop or a faucet. This kind of water hammer sounds like a chattering

In my experience as a 30 year retired plumber I found the best and the cheapest way to fix this problem is:

Install a dishwasher 3 way angle stop near the offending fixture.
Take a length of 3/8" copper tubing and wrap about 3-5 times around a coffee can or similar sized pipe and make a coil capped or soldered on one end and put the other end in the side branch of the valve leaving about an inch between coils. The force of the water stopping will be absorbed in the coil itself, no need to drain down the water in an air valve.
You can also use this method on a larger scale near the water heater, 1/2" and more wraps in the coil for a whole house suppressor.

I have used this method successfully several times in my career

How to bleed air out power steering lines of 2009 dodge journey

Try cranking wheel all the way to the left (with car running) it should squeal. Then to the right. Hold it all the way over for about 5-10 seconds each way, It may try to fight you but just hold it tight. You may have to repeat a couple times. Make sure fluid is full.

Western snow plow when you try to angle to right it goes up does same thing if you try to angle left

This is a control valve problem. From you comment, it is
clear that the control valve flows to one direction only.
Please check the control valve of the snow plow that
execute the angle to right or angle to left. Also check
the pipelines before and after the valve. It must have a
free flow of the fluid.

I have a Meyer mod # E-60H. Last year it seemed

You got the idea, because both the motor carbon
brushes and a weak battery is one of the major causes of your problem. So, have a check on these items.
Furthermore, also check the oil as well as the oil filter
if it needs to be replaced. When all the checks are done
and fixed, I'm sure that you will get the best result . Hope this will help you.

Snow plow wont turn right

To turn Left you need two cylenders. I think you only have one. Any one cylender will have three wires and a ground. The ground is always connected to the vehicle ground. The other two to the Single pole double throw switch. TOne wire and a ground runs the pump one way, the other wire and the ground runs the pump the opposit direction. For left and right you must have a similar pump, motor and wiring.

Plow goes down too fast and hard

On the front of the pump where there are two 11/16 hex plugs... one has a filter behind it, and the other (closest one to the valve block) is where the drop speed screw is located..

Be sure to do this adjustment with the blade on the ground!....

Remove the plug and use a 3/16 allen wrench to reach in and turn the drop speed screw. Turn it counter clockwise to increase the drop speed. They're fairly sensitive so only turn it about an 1/8 at a time...

Make sure you reinstall the plug before you recheck the drop speed or the back of your blade will get a bath of plow oil..
