remove the side doors, and top cover, make sure your brushes are making correct contact against the slip rings, there is a flat mounting panel behind the range control switch, you will see 2 white fuses in their holders, check these fuses, one controls AC output the other controls weld current output.

Trying find out what i would have to have to start TIG welding with a Miller Bobcat 250 1992 year model

you will need a AC high frequency unit to weld aluminum. For stainless and mild steel just need a dry run tig torch, hose kit and 100% argon.

Why is the maintenance light on in my miller 250 bobcat

The maintenance light is probably on because of low oil pressure. Check the level of oil and top it off.

You may also want to check your Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Spark Arrestor, and Fuses.

Here is the manual for your Miller 250 Bobcat:

Miller welder starts fine bur appear to run out gas need help adjuting linkage to fuel control

you need to adjust the throttle governor on the side of the carburetor you will see a adjustment screw do a weld to get the welder to runs at high speed then adjust the screw till it runs continuously, if it still dies out change the fuel filter and try again drain the carburetor bowel if it's diesel replace fuel filter and run fuel threw the water trap.

Miller bobcat 250 welder with kohler lp gas engine won't idle properly any adjustments for air/fuel mix?

Make sure that the idle is set at 40Hz. You do this by placing a frequncy meter on one of the 120Vac outlets. If frequency is low, the engine will run rough at idle. There is a 3/8 nut next to carberator that needs to be turned to the right to increase the idle speed.

Miller bobcat 225g plus welding problem

If the idle is not working, then it is either you idle solenoid attached to the carberator or your idle board is bad. If you apply 12Vdc to the idle solenoid is should move, if not then the solenoid is shot, no good. If it works then you idle board is bad. Also, check to see if you are 60Hertz by measuring at the outlet with a frequency meter. I recommend a Fluke meter. You should have 120Vac and 60HZ at the outlet. If the frequency is low then your engine speed needs to be increased. The idle solenoid could be causing all these problems.
