My Whirlpool dishwasher ADP7408 is not working and is displaying F4 in the electronic display

Leave it off for a while and try it again, if this does not work you will need:
A person to help tip the machine over
a basin
a pliers
screw drivers
some rags

Empty out as best you can the remaining water from your machine.
Roll over and remove the bottom of the dishwasher, you might need to remoce screws from the back panel too.
Carefully remove the bottom panel, there may be devices attached to it slide your hand in and unclip them, BUT be carefull often the edges of the metal is sharp.
Once the bottom is of grab your pliers and you patience and release the clips on the hoses, blow them all out. The salt store might need to be emptied completly.
Reconnect everything and replace the bottom.
Stand the machine up and refill the salt store with water to the top.
Test the machine, it should now work.

Hope this helped

Dishwasher won't drain

Either drain motor is blocked with product, or motor is actually faulty. Remove front kick panel to locate drain motor. Normally small white motor attached to the frame by 3 screws. Once off, remove obstruction (careful not to lose or dislodge the o ring. major leak otherwise.).If obstruction not found, check pipe for blckage. If all clear, possibly motor is defective.Need to check motor manually. Reinstall then test.

Not filling with water but empeting if water put in

Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

Dishwasher----GE Nautilus

1. Check drain pipe, air gap and drain for blockage.

2. Could be too much dishwasher liquid build up (i.e. too much Cascade used over time, clogging things inside the machine). Remove all standing water first then boil a big pot of water (3 to 4 quarts) and carefully pour in to bottom of dishwasher. Let stand until cool. Attempt to drain.

3. Turn off Circuit Breaker to dishwasher. Open kick plate at bottom and look around for the cooling fan for the motor and spin it free in both directions. Look for any solenoids and push them in to the other position. Attempt to drain on dishwasher.

4. If the above steps don't fix it and you are not handy, it's time to call in the repairman or consider getting a new one. If you are handy, do a web search on more detailed solutions for your model of dishwasher (typical failure points are valves, impellers, pump etc).
