Do you have proxy settings set. Safari may be trying to access a proxy server and you may be in a location that cant access it.

Why does my skype in my Macbookpro keep on saying it cannot connect to the server? what do I have to do to make my skype working again?

I would try uninstalling it, reboot the computer and install it again. If you downloaded the update before, I would suggest getting a "fresh" copy. It could be the first install was corrupt.

How do Remove things from my cloud.

What specifically would you like to clear from your iCloud history?

Deleting information from your Contacts, Calendars, Notes and Reminders delete everywhere on the cloud (so in short, it deletes all instances of that information off of every device your iCloud is signed into).

Clearing your browser history can be done through Safari. Resetting it is usually best. You can open Safari, click on the word Safari in your menu bars top left corner, select "Reset Safari", select all the options and hit reset.

You can alternaitcally browse in Private Mode (Safari), this prevents your browser from tracking sites you've visited and so forth.

Delete viewed sites

Reset safari. In the future go to prvate browsing before accessing sites. There are software you can download to clean cache and so on but resetting safari will do it. try resarting and see if it clears.

How to make google my home page

If you're using Safari to browse the internet, then do this:
  1. Click on the Safari dock icon (it looks like a blue compass).
  2. Press these two keys to open Safari's Preferences: commmand+, (the comma key).
  3. In the small window that opens, select the "General" tab (if it is not already selected).
  4. You will see a field to type in the homepage of your choice. (type in that field).
  5. If you only want to be your homepage, then be sure to also change the "New windows open with" and "New tabs open with" drop-downs to "Homepage".
  6. Close that small Preferences window and you're all set.

How do you permanently clear history on a mac notebook

Assume you are talking about your browser (Safari/Firefox/Googlechrome?) history? You need to give us a little more information, but browser history is normally cleared by going to PREFERENCES, in the browser, then PRIVACY, then follow the prompts to clear all history. (Unless you're talking about GoogleChrome, where you will need to go to their corporate servers since they have set up Chrome to harvest all information about your browsing habits so they and their corporate buddies can send targeted ads to your computer...)

Laura Thomson says to click on a add to say if I want adds but cant get on.

I assume you are talking about ads displayed in your web browser. Typically, web sites look at your cookies file to determine what ads to send to your computer. If your cookies are disabled, you'll get random ads. If not, you'll probably get ads based on your recent searches or browsing through merchant web sites.

Cookies are coded data strings that are sent to you web browser's cookies file when you open a page. Web servers use them to save passwords or preferences you may have set up for the site, determine whether you have visited the site before, or predict what you may be interested in seeing based on pages you have visited. For example, if you are setting up an internet purchase, the merchant's site will put a cookie on your computer to identify your shopping cart.

To manage your cookies in Safari, open Preferences... in the Safari menu and click on the Security button.

Safari Reset

The Safari web browser stores a large amount of information as a result of your browsing. This not only includes cache and cookies but also saved names and passwords, download history, search keywords, browsing history and more. There is a very quick and painless way to remove all of these things and return your Safari browser to its default state. Before doing this, please be sure that you definitely want all of this information to be erased.

Difficulty: Easy

Time Required: Less than 1 Minute

Here's How:

1. Open your Safari web browser by clicking on the Safari icon in the dock.

2. Click on Safari in your Safari menu, located at the top of your screen.

3. A drop-down menu will now appear. Choose the option labeled Reset Safari....

4. A warning dialog will now appear detailing the items that will be removed.

5. Click the button on the dialog labeled Reset to complete the process.
Your Safari browser will now restart automatically.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe
