Question about Dell 962 Photo All-In-One InkJet Printer
Even though I have been printing with this cartridge, now I'm givien an error message that says it is the wrong cartridge. I have turned off the printer and then restarted. Still the same message. I removed the cartridge and have cleaned the contacts. Still getting the message. Any suggestions.....My 962 is giving me the same error message "right cartridge incorret".
I tried unplugging as suggested and removing the cartridges. I also unplugged the power for a few minutes. Help!
Even if it the wrong cartridge, it will usually let you keep printing even though if your ink gets low, it will not be able to read it correctly so you will not know until all of your printing comes out black and white, but other than that, you can still print from it. Are the cartridges installed on the correct side? Left = Black or photo. Right = Color.
P.S. Its a Dell printer and can only use cartridges sold by Dell.some cartridges done by lexmark or or Epson doesnot work, check it well. the dell sensor in the machine can detect the right cartridges.

it is possible that once the computer and printer are communicating that the error messages could also be resolved by running the printer diagnostic program.
