You switched everything, including the hard drive with the windows on it ,correct? If so , then either the sound card is lose from the slot, you accicently disconnected a wire,or left one off for the sound?

Purchased external speakers but it's not happening. Have power, plugged in correctly, suggestions?

go to the control panel and find the add hardware/devices
add the speakers
there will be a need of a sound card if not in the mother board and a driver for the speakers

How do i reconstruct a gtx 580 ftw hydro copper 2 on a 141-gt-e770 mother board all in a thermaltake tower i have a 4 stack of enermax fans that attatch externally

Build something custom.use your imagination. It will be unique.

Best way to start is to gut the case of any extra equipment. Figure out what you need the worst, and install it first. Don't cram too much stuff in, less is more.

Good luck.

Is it possible to upgrade the mother board in this computer?

Dell Cases are very often only for Dell boards--connectors not standard--It can be done, but a lot of trouble. If you want to really speed up look for good complete kit from tigerdirect.com--and put it together--Will work A LOT better than what you can buy at stores.

My Dell Deiension 3000 stopped, no sound, no picture. When I plug power to the tower, the power light comes on,a green light on the mother board comes on, and the fan on the power supply comes on.

This sounds like video card. Can be ether drivers or card it self. Try booting in to safe mode by pressing f8 on boor and if it does not work or it does not show option on screen when you do this it means it is issue with card it self. Hope this helps.

Tower is beeping and monitor on/off switch is blinking

If the computer has been moved recently, I would chack the Video card in the mother board to make sure it is seated in the slot all the, Unless you have on board video.

Dell Monitor Not Working

well if the status of the LEd on the monitor is amber(orange) & the system is running on a on board video card & not a Add-on video card... it is a possibility the the integrated video card ot the mother board might have gone bad... either contact a local tech or the tech support for the computer...

also unplug the monitor cable from the system tower & then if you see that there are the bars moving which say monitor self test on... means tht the problem is with the video card or the mother board...
since the system is running on a integrated video card...

Best bet is to buy a tower and put everything in it.

New Problem

The manual you need will be on the board manufacturers web page, howevr I will bet you have the case power switch and perhaps the reset switch on the wrong pins on the mother board. To check this, remove the switch leads from the mother board, then use a small screw driver and bridge the pins on the mother board a pair at a time. All of these leads plug on to the board in a line and not across the two lines of pins. when you get the mother board to fire up by this method geet a torch and look closely alongside the pins you will see the letters PWR SW or RS SW. It does not matter what polarity these two sets of leads are plugged onto both will work. The LED lights on the case front will only work if the polarity is correct but it will not do any harm if they are backwords. On the board you should se two sets of pins marked HDD and PWR these are the led light pins you will know you have them right when the usual red and green lights are working at the front of your tower.
