Craftman Garage Door Opener, Model #139.53673SRT1. Two car remotes. Program one, and the other one stops working. I've erased the memory several times. Same result.

i replaced the hand held opener device in the car. that fied my prob. mine was a blue button sears opener. they say it can switch codes if it is dropped or banged around. a friend suggested i go to the local car rental see if any openers were left in return cars. probably buy one there for $ 5.00. just match the button colors on the sears models. good luck Ken

Other sites say that the remote has become defective. Here's a link for a $15.75 replacement.

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

Tried to reprogram security code for outdoor key pad on 1/2hp craftsman garage door opener according to instructions online, pressed learn button- put in new 4 digit code-held enter. Lights did not flash...

Seems you've done everything right. Press and immediately release the smart/learn button and then walk over and key in a 4 digit code and press enter. If you are sure the battery in the keypad is good then I think your keypad is on the fritz or the wrong one for that opener.

Moved to a place with a 139.53975SRT1 Garage Door and Keyless Entry. Keyless entry stopped working and I cant get code to operate door. All remotes stopped working. Reset codes with Learn button,...

Try this method for programming. Press and hold the button down on the remote while you press and immediately release the learn button. Do this for each remote.

Have you replaced the battery in the keypad? Try this:

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

Post back with your results.

Ladies / Gentlemen: I have a Craftsman 139.53975SRT1 Garage Door Opener. What is the correct keyless entry pad for this opener? Will a 139.53876 keyless entry pad work with this opener? Thank You! ...

The correct keypad for your opener is 139.53684. The 53876 keypad is an older technology and will not work correctly. If you program it you will find your remotes no longer work and if you reprogram your remotes the keypad will not work.

Can't reprogram/operate keyless entry pad for Craftsman Model 139.53661SRT3 garage door opener.

If the following instructions don't work and you have a good battery the keypad has failed.

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in your 4 digit code and press enter.

Craftsman remote

After you use the keyless if you press any button while the light on the keyless is still working the operator will run.
If that is not the issue try:
Clear all the codes in the operator. (push and hold the learn button @ 20 sec. LED will go off) reprogram each of your remotes including your keyless.

Keylees entry and remote controls do not work at the same time

There are two types of technology with this operator (rolling code and non-rolling code). This operator will except one or the other but not both. It is not uncommon for a rolling code (Security+) remote or keyless to lose the "rolling"part of its technology and become a non-rolling code device so it is not compatable with the rolling code technology. You will need to replace the one remote or keyless that is not like the others.
