Question about Tomtom ONE 3rd Edition GPS

Open Question

Tomtom error 10 code, will not connect to PC.

Tomtom 930 error, when I try to connect the device to my computer(Vista 32bit ultimate)I open the newest Tomtom home and then connect the device via its usb dock to the computer. There is a very fast flicker, the it will just go to the picture in the tomtom that looks as if it has connected to the PC, the Yellow screen,but it will not show up in home?, it is there in my computer as the tomtom device, but not showing in home. I have looked in device manager and it shows up as a Volume with a yellow mark next to it, When I connect it to my XP laptop it shows up there and appears as a disk drive. The error code is a code 10 driver error. I have asked tomtom, but after trying there solutions it appears as a PC problem, maybe a registry problem. Is there anything you have heard of?.Any help would be most appreciated.Thanks JON

SOURCE: Go 730 stopped working immediately after installing TomTom Home

I have found a solution to this problem by quick-formatting the device and reinstalling the TT Home this time declining the update to a higher version (just in case).

For the faint-hearted, like myself, in the absence of a working backup I recommend copying BEFOREHAND all files from TT Go to an empty folder in your computer (using Windows not TT Home). This way if you do not succeed at least you can go back to the position before the format.

I have paired my blackberry with my tomtom go 930 the phones says paired but the tom tom can't seem to find the phone?

I detest cell phones, but here's how I got my wife's BB8100 and BB8800 to connect to my GO930:
1) Press the button with 7 dots in a circular pattern (Menu?);
2) Click "Options";
3) Click "Bluetooth";
4) Click "TomTom GO 930" (yours may differ);
5) Click "Full Menu";
6) Click "Options";
7) Change "Discoverable" to "Yes";
8) Press the button with the curved arrow (Return?);
9) Click "Save";
10) Click the curved-arrow button until the menus are gone.
The TomTom should now be able to connect to the BB.

Had to do something similar on the iPhone 4 before it could connect (haven't found a "Trust" option yet).

TomTom 930 GO will not connect to TomTom Home

Try to use another computer or another usb port for it. You could also try different usb cable that fit´s into tomtom´s connector.

Both units should be in Discover mode
You give a name for the device you want to connect to ( tomtom) on phone and k800i on gps,
press search and let them fijnd each other then select an outgoing port com 0 if asked to enter a code or passkey try 000 (zero zero zero)

Tomtom 930 does not find Iphone 3g bluetooth for connection.

The following has worked for me FLAWLESSLY :

1) Remove any old "pairing information" that you may have both on the iPhone and on the TomTom - both should be "clean" not knowing about each other..

2) Put iPhone into airplane mode.

3) Go to settings, and turn on Bluetooth

4) Do the regular "search for bluetooth device" and pair the two
devices

5) Turn off airplane mode

After I did this, I have never had a problem with iPhone 3GS / Tomtom - they find each other now every time, and all is happy..

Tomtom 910 will not connect to computer

Had a similar problem with my GO 930, i.e. it would not connect to the PC. As several people have suggested, it appears to be a problem with the docking station connection. I found, by trial and error, that this works for my system (so far, every time):

Remove GO from docking station.
Switch on and allow to boot up.
Place FIRMLY in docking station
The Go should now recognise that it is linked to a PC and will ask if you wish to connect.
Proceed as normal.

As mentioned, my sytem is a 930, so this may not work for 910s.
