in my life time i fixed over 45000 cassette players... it is either one of 2 things... 1 there s tape stuck on the flywheel, just remove it and clean the fly wheel with alcohol. if it clean and no take stuck on it, then it is the mother itself, there is adjustment on it , but likely the servo system is damages so it will need to be replaced, once you install a new one you will need a speed adjustment tape. like 333 HZ or 1 kHZ and a frequency counter to calibrate the new motor
Hello It is due the mechanism trouble to your set. The casette tape deck mechanism should be troubleshooted. It is a skilled work. Just contact any experienced service technician to make this set right.
Please make sure that you have selected the correct function.Press the Function/Standby button to select Radio,Tape or CD mode in the boombox.Press the volume +/- buttons to increase or decrease the volume on your RCA RCD135 Cassette/CD Boombox. Also check the display and make sure that the volume level is adjusting when pressing the buttons.
