Re: paper collector picks up several sheets instead if...
When you insert a new stack of paper, don't forget to loosen the pages by flipping pages with your thumb on the upper and lower edges which loosens and separates the individual pages. Static electricity will also cause them to stick together. if this doesn't work, the rubber rollers that pickup the paper will wear out and get smooth and shiny, you can use rubber rejuvenator (Circuit City Sources) rejuvenate the rubber will fix that problem .do not use alcohol as it will eventually dry and crack the rubber. Good luck

The spot in which the paper is fed into could have a fence/blocker. Use wood or a little hunk of aluminum to only allow 1 sheet. You could get fandy and use a rod that could also be mounted on the font.Be crea8tive and good luck.
I've had that problem and running the special blue sheet that comes with the paper pack through the printer seems to work. I've had to run the blue sheet through before each printout for a while, but the problem seems to have gone away - I guess it finally got cleaned out. It also seemed like running the blue sheet through after not using the printer for several weeks was a good idea before printing. When I get a new pack of paper, I run the blue sheet through as instructed. Instead of throwing the sheet away, I store it on top of the blank sheets inside the printer. That way I can use it again if needed.
Every 120,000 pages, the paper feed rollers, fuser, transfer roller, and OPC belt cartridge should be replaced, usually by a trained techncian.
Fuser and OPC belt units are customer-replacable.
The multiple feeding of the paper into the printer is due to a worn paper separation pad. part no. LM0711001. If the machine is picking up the paper okay and the jams occur solely from multiple sheet feeding, then this part is probably all you will need. The steps required to access and remove & replace the separation pad unfortunately is about 10 steps. Better consult a tech.
This is most likely a paper problem, the paper is basically sticking to the next sheet, Ensure the paper is stored in a cool dry place helps, dont load the paper with more than what you need for a couple of days and when loading the paper flick the pages to allow air between the pages
If this dosnt work try a different brand of paper
Ifthe printer is not picking up paper, check to see if there is paper inthe IN tray. If there is not, load paper into the IN tray and press the RESUME button.

Load only one envelope at a time in the single-sheet input tray and be sure that it is inserted fully into the slot.
Use envelopes with square flaps instead of triangular flaps, or tuck the flaps inside the envelopes.
