HEWLETT-PACKARD LASERJET PRO P1606DN PRINTER

the cartridge in this machine has a chip on it but it should still print if you get a toner low message. the chip counts pages not amount used to print so if you are doing light print jobs it does not no it only counts the cycles

HP 1500 will not stop Printing

Printer of all types connet to a computer and make use of a spooling service on the computer. You may need to go into the Printers and Faxes section of the computer from the Start button and open up the printer you are using and right click on all the documents that are listed there and click on cancel. There is a relationship between printer and computer with handshaking so you need to cancel and let the printer be connected to cancel the jobs. Pull out the paper tray might be a way to have it stop printing while to cancel the jobs. The cancel or clear on the printer only affect the jobs held in the memory on the printer and then as soon as that is clear the next job from the spool comes in. Clear printer spooling and then the printer should stop.

I cannot cancel the commands given preiously it just shows 'Printing' but never prints, what do i do?

Open the printer (click on the taskbar). It will list the documents in the print que. Highlight each one and delete it.
Now the printer has not documents in the que and should start fresh!.
