Wireless Keyboard issue

Have a Microsoft wireless keyboard model 1045 about 3 years old. am having major difficulty with type showing up when i hit the keys on pad. in the past when this would happen i'd either hit the connect button and reset or if need be change the batteries on keyboard.now neither of these solutions is working well and the only reason i can type this is when i unplug the usb cable and re plug i get good connectivity.seams when i and in my email (entrouge) and typing in the subject bar or the address bar is when the problem really kicks in (and typing in the summarize the problem). am i missing something or do i join the masses in another contibutor of the through away society or is there a fix?

This might be a long shot, but if you are having the most trouble while you are on the internet, or in an internet browser...you might have some infections.  I would try using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to scan for infections.  http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5756
If you come up clean...it might be a hardware (keyboard) issue, as you thought.  Is there a way you can test this keyboard out on another computer?  If the problem is the same on another PC, then it might be time to buy another keyboard.  Good Luck!

Not compatible with new computer windows 7

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?
(making a program work with windows 7)

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:)) julyallan01_52.jpg

Hot keys have stopped working

Hello look for a button on your keyboard called FKey - press this button and then try again, see if it works... if not hit Fkey again and try again.

Sounds like your function button may be on

Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000 v 1.0 volume keys not working

On 32-bit machines: Use the windows search feature to find "hidserv.dll." Once located, copy the file and paste it into the %systemroot%\system32\ directory. Open the "Run" dialog box by keying the windows + R. Type "services.msc" and hit enter. Locate the HID Input Service. Right click and click "start." This should solve the issue!!

Microsoft wireless laser keyboard 6000 v2 - keys suddenly stopped/not working

i had the same problem, i checked the batteries with a DMM and the measured 1.4v i replaced the batteries with new and i still had the same problem. anyway i ended up taking the keyboard apart and found where the antenna is connected to a push on type connector alongside the pcb board inside the keyboard, the connection was slightly corroded. i cleaned it up and it is working fine know, even with the old batteries.
