If you have the documentation on this router you might be able to default the router to its factory settings and access the router with the default login/password.

Forget user name and password how to set up new ones

You may have to resent the router for that purpose! User name and password are usually default for each router. If you have not set up a user name or password try default admin in password section and leave user name blank. If you have set up a user name and password and forgot now then you may have to reset the router by pressing reset button on back of router for 30 to 60 seconds which brings back factory default settings for the router!

Sorry but this is the only to reset the password

Press the Reset Button for approximately 10 seconds

Resetting the Router will erase all of your settings (WEP Encryption, Wireless and LAN settings, etc.) and replace them with the factory defaults.

All Linksys routers have a built-in web-based setup page that allows the user to customize settings and set up advanced properties.

NOTE: Before accessing the router's web-based setup page, make sure the router is powered on and the computer is wired to one of the Ethernet ports on the router (1, 2, 3 or4 ).

Go to the Address bar and enter your router's IP address ("192.168.1.1" is the default IP of most Linksys routers) then press [Enter].

NOTE : For WRP400, the default IP address would be "192.168.15.1" and if you place the router behind a primary router with the IP address of "192.168.15.1", then the router will automatically assume a new default IP address, "192.168.16.1".

Is there a way to reset the password to the router? I recently bought a new computer and need the password for this laptop. I forgot the password to the router that was programmed to my old laptop. Thanks

sure..in back, is a small hole that takes about a paper clip wide probe. press for 10 seconds while powered up. Then it resets to admin admin(user name/password). then access it through 198.162.1.1 on browser. should do it.

Forgot username and password how do I fix this westell 327

Did you forget the user name and password for accessing the Web Utility of the router? If yes, you need to reset the router back to it's factory state. There's no other way but to reset it and then reconfigure the router. Set a new user name and password.

I cannot set password

There are 2 users in this router, 'admin. and 'user', default password is blank. admin can change password of user without having old password, user can change his own password, admin can change password of his own by supplying his old password then new password twice. To log in to this router, default address is http://192.168.0.1 user name admin and password blank. You may now change password from tools menu.

If you forgot user password then log in as admin and change password, If you forgot all password then only way is to reset router from rare pin hole. Pressing reset for 20 seconds.

I'd like to add the new notebook to my network.

You will need to reset the router to factory by holding in the reset button if you don't have the password. Before you do that, however, you will need your user name and password to re-configure and connect to the DSL provider. When you configure the wirelss network settings, write down your wireless password which should be different from the password you create to log in to the router.
