Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console

1 Answer

I was playing ff7: crisis core and I walked away from my game without pausing or turning it off. the gaem went to standby mode after a while, this has happened before so I wasn't worried usually the game just takes a second then it continues from where I left off, this time however the game did not continue and after a half hour I dsecided to turn it off and restart. however when I restart the system wouldn't even boot to the main menu until I took the game out and when I put the gaem back in to continue play it showed the loading icon on the bottom right of the screen but didn't do anything. any advice?

Sounds like a umd loading problem. this has happened to many psp owners in a variety of circumstances. go on the psp support section on playstation website and find information on this criteria. hopefully you can solve the problem with the steps given instead of having to do a warranty. ps my psp power cord stopped working...sucks for me, i cant get a warranty cuz i lost my receipt!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hi,I'm having CFW 5.50 Prome-4.I downloaded FF7 Crisis Core ISO from the internet and when i wanted to start a new game.after selecting new game it just shows me a black screen but the power button is...

It seems like you have a broken ISO from the internet, I would suggest the following measures.
1. Redownload the ISO, it may be corrupted. Try to download it from another source.
2. This is more severe, but it might help in the long run: re-apply the update for your CFW, meaning, reformat your PSP, apply the update and the CFW again.

Hope these tips help :D

PSP - blank screen, yet green light is on.

What is your firmware version? Are you using CFW or OFW?
There is a problem in your update that could have trigger some of your flash0 files it is where your firmware files are placed. Or maybe your firmware does not support Crisis Core : Final Fantasy 7?
If you are on CFW (Custom Firmware). Try loading the recovery menu in boot set-up. Just turn off your psp (not in sleep mode). Leave it for a second or two, then turn on your psp while holding the R trigger. If you are able to load the recovery menu, then you are semi-bricked. If not, only black screen then you are fully-bricked. You will not a PANDORA kit, with a pandora battery and magic memory stick to unbrick your psp.

CD player restarts cd from beginning each time

1) What year and model is it?
2) Probably not.

I have an Emerson from several years ago that I've taken all apart and put back together.  My guess is, unless it auto powers off when paused, or there's another button besides play/pause, stop, Back, forward, mode, prog, and antiskip, your problem is better-solved with an mp3 player. An ipod shuffle would do fine. The shuffle feature can be turned on or off, and one may jog without disturbing the electronics.
