You can check the switch out by spraying some WD-40 in it, that clean the contact in side the switch

Check and make sure the receptacle where it is plugged in has current. Unplug the cable and then plug it back in. You have an Over-ride switch on your unit, try it. If it still does not work you will have a power supply problem.

I own a Fellowes PS 60 shredder.
I DO NOT THINK THE LINK WILL HELP YOU, BUT AT LEAST YOU WILL HAVE IT.
I advise you NOT to use your shredder if it is causing the cicuit to shut off_it may start a fire!

Overly loud shredding; stops prematurely

I have taken many shredders apart and found them so clogged up with shreds of paper and too much oil will turn into paper mud.Be bold and take the top off and clean it out. Unplug the power source and when removing the top , be careful because their will be a short cable connecting the top to the circuit board. Easy to damage.

Royal Shredder

there is a small micro switch in about the middle of the paper slot, make sure it is not jammed, it should move freely and make a small clicking sound with the power off.
