Had the same problem. It's the microswitch/eject button-reset. The wires were-soldered.works fine.you actually have to remove the switch to inspect the soldering.
Hi what you have described is normal operation unless there is a cd stuck in the machine. If so, then the only course of action is to unpower the radio completely then reconnect it - this may force an eject or the unit may then recognise a disc in the player. if not, then the only course of action is to remove the lid and figure a way of manually winding the disc out without damaging the disc or mechanism.
If it reaeds the cleaner... then try another disc. 20-30 seconds is a long time to looad a disc...
If the new disc does not work either , I would suggest resting the deck .
If reseting does not help , it is still under warrantee. so have it serviced.
The player thiinks the CD is still in the player. you have a shorted or open sensor. Usually thee players have 3 phto sensors to tell the controller that a Disc is inserted , or ejected or present. Sometimes a wire or piece of lint covers a sensor and makes the controller think the CD is still there. Get you a can of Air from Radio Shack and blow out the DVD drive You might get lucky and this do the job.
