We have a jenn-air grill that is 12 years old. Should we buy a new one or replace the guts on the grill?

I doubt you can get replacement parts for this old grill.
I suggest you don't waste your time looking for parts and purchase a new one.

Burner knobs on my new Bull Brahma gas grill are getting too hot to touch after grill has been on for a short while. It require a pot holder just to turn them to the off position.

Your problem has been occurring quite frequently with a lot of different model grills, lately. It's usually caused by the burner flames leaking into the control panel area. You will have to shut the grill down and turn the tank OFF, and allow it to cool, before removing all the burners to inspect and clean them, thoroughly. Particularly, each burner's venturi valve. Which are near the open end of the burner, where it fits over the burner orifice. It will look like 2 slots cut into each side of the burner. Spiders like to go into these and build a nest. While you have the burners out, carefully look for any rust through or deformation of each burner.

Hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling.

The knob on the gas regulator cracked off and we are not able to get it off. Is there a special tool to get the regulator off, if not how do you replace the whole regulator and hose combination. There is...

Short of carefully using a pipe wrench, there's not much else you can do. Make sure the tank valve is fully OFF, before attempting removal. Once it's disconnected, you will need to purchase a new Hose/Regulator Assembly. They are not expensive and can be purchased at any home center or hardware store that sells gas grills and accessories. Take the old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

I am looking to convert from natural gas to propen gas for weber s-620

Weber does not sell conversion kits due to liability reasons. Every part of the grill needs to be changed to convert. Cheaper to buy new grill, I have tried to piece together a parts list to convert, it is cheaper to buy new grill by the time you purchase all parts needed.

I was given a texan smoker

Yes you can. The digital control goes in place of the old controller and it is a un plug and replug in the ends. Make sure you keep track of what color plug in what color. Some have a purple dot to purple wire, orange dot to orange wire etc., but I don't know for sure on the older grills. Just write it down and be safe. FIRST make sure you unplug the grill before you start and DO NOT plug in till you have the new controller in place. It will short out when you touch the side if it is not unplugged.

Can't get knob off of brinkman grill

Which knob ? Maybe try pulling it off really hard but without damaging it. Make sure you dont break any of the plastic. If it's still under warranty I would exchange it. I had to purchase 3 grills from Walmart to find one that wasnt bent !
