Candy CPCA270FFK - Just woke up Sunday morning to find all easy freezable items such as Juice and Milk frozen. The back of fridge has ice on it from second shelf but even veg in the bottom tray is now freezing. Only stuff near the front is not. I have turned the thermostat right down but it doesn't stop freezing.

i had the same problem recently with all my fridge food freezing up, this all seemed to start when i discovered the interior bulb blown i replaced it still nothing also noticed warning lights on front out,i could hear the motor going so i knew it was on i removed back cover and found the heater covered in ice it turned out it was the failure of the control board causing these problems had it replaced and working fine now hope this is of help dmb23
You said, you recently had a problem with my Candy fridge freezer (it defrosted overnight and wasnt cooling at all) and a repair
shop diagnosed a thermostat problem. I have replaced the thermostat,
Now the freezer freezes without any problems but the fridge does not go
cold at all.
Also the compressor is running constantly
This is my first thought
Fresh Food temperature is too warm. Freezer temperature is satisfactory. 1. Fresh Food control is set too warm. 2. Set fresh food control to a colder setting. Allow 24 hours for temperature to stabilize.
3.Then see if you do not have your freezer articles packed full up to the top, or covering the cold air vents usually found in the rear of the freezer compartment.
The fridge and the freezer share the cold air so the air must not be restricted from travel form the freezer to the fridge and back! This would also cause the compressor to run none stop trying to cool the fridge! So check your air vents in the freezer. I'll bet you did not know they were there ! Most of us never notice! Hope this works for you. Please let me know that one of these solutions worked for you! or if you have any questions. Thank You, huuum Please remember to leave a rating!
Candy frost free freezers have a 'self defrost' mechanism to remove excess ice build up. What happens is the ice gets packed around the heat exchanger in the back of the freezer and it can't self defrost. This is easy to fix but will require the fridge to be left switched off with the door open for a couple of days so all the ice can melt. Make sure you left the appliance off for as long as you can as if there is any ice left the problem will just come back.
Probably bad thermocouple. In the refrigerators I'm familiar with, there is a thermocouple thermostat in the freezer. There is no measuring of refrigerator temperature; it just gets a portion of the cold freezer air.
If the thermostat is bad, then ice cream should be rock hard too, for it never quits cooling except on defrost cycle, three times per day.
