My dvd not working, the computer cann't see it

Remove the dvd wire from mother board and reconnect it again and check out.if it still shows the same problem of no detection.then it might be probably two options ,either the dvd is faulty or the other problem is that in the mother board the socket where the dvd is connected that is faulty.if the dvd is faulty then replace the dvd.but if socket in mother board is faulty then resolder the socket froma pc repair center shop.

Corrupted CD/DVDROM driver


Please explain your problem as corrupted cd/dvd rom driver doesn't stand for anything.
CD/DVD ROM driver can never corrupt only lens of cd/dvd driver becomes weak because of which it cann't read cd or dvd

I just purchased new blank Maxell dvd-rw 4.7gb/2hrs. discs and they wouldn't initilize past 8% so I tried re-formatting the disc and now the machine won't recoginize the disc or any disc, even...


Get a CD/DVD laser lens cleaner - the kind with optical quality brushes sticking out of the bottom of the disk. Run this in the player/recorder a couple times. Should clear it up.

You can get them at Best Buy, Radio Shack, online, etc...

naa i t cann be a software problem
wht you have o do is first clean your dvd rom using cleaning disk after that try your dvds in most cases this is the ultimate solution for roms
