Question about Toshiba Satellite L45-S7423 Notebook
The CMOS battery is Soldered onto the motherboard, You are not going to be able to simply remove the battery to reset the CMOS. I have taken mine apart enough times to know this for a fact. It is not in a service manual. Your best bet is to contact Toshiba and see if they have a master password for your laptop.

This information is in the Users' Manual, which probably came on a disc shopped with the computer. If you can't locate the disc, go to Toshiba's Web site and download the manual from the support forum.
