Question about HP Compaq nc6000 Notebook
Most likely need to do a complete system reboot, or run a program that cleans up the system, sounds like a regestry issue with the operating system, if you're not savvy with operating system fixes, then I would suggest taking to a shop..

Close down any open applications on your computer.
Press the "Alt + F10" keys on your keyboard. This will open the eRecovery Management system on your computer.
Enter the password for the recovery system. The password will be the one you assigned when you set up the laptop or the default. The default is six zeros, or "000000."
Select "Recovery Options" from the start screen on the management system. Select the "Next" button to continue.
Choose "Reinstall Applications/driver" from the Options provided and press the "Next" button.
Select "Driver" and "Camera" from the Drivers screen. Move to the right side of the window and choose "Install Camera Driver Now."
Let the laptop reboot and install the driver.
