SOURCE: My pfaff synchromatic 1209 machine--the

You machine has a screw that fits the end of the shaft and the head pof the screw has broken. You can buy a new screw from a sewing machine dealer but if the whole assembly has come off you may need to take it to a dealer to have it reassembled properly. There is a spring inside which is very difficult to install.

SOURCE: pfaff sewing machine

You don't have the thread in the take up lever or it is not in the tension. Rethread it , Pull the thread through the tension assembly and test it to make sure the tension is working correctly.
(To do this test, adjust your tension setting to normal or medium or 5 or something in the middle. Raise the presser foot and pull the thread through the tension. It should pull easily!! Lower the presser foot and pull the thread. It should pull noticeably harder.) If it passes this test, continue up through the take up lever, then down through the thread guides to the needle. Make sure your needle is fully inserted and turned the correct way.
set your tension to 5 and try it.

SOURCE: My pfaff 9063 is locked.

Hi there, I know this is completely off track from your question but I've been searching high and low for an instruction manual for the pfaff 9063, yours is the only thread I've found that mentions the machine, i wonder if all this time you know of anywhere that I could get one from ? Thanks a mil and I hope you managed to sort out your problem...

SOURCE: how do you adjust timing on pfaff 138 sewing machine

Take the foot off the machine
Remove the needle plate
Remove the feed dogs
rotate by hand until the needle is at the lowest position
continue rotating until the needle rises 2 mm
the hook assembly should be passing exactly by the scarf of the needle
if not loosen the two screws that secure the the hook assembly and rotate the hook assembly by hand until it is exactly at the scarf of the needle and the distance between the hook and the scarf is .1 mm (almost touching the needle)
tightened the two screws, replace the feed dogs and foot and it should sew perfectly

I need to know how to thread a PFAFF syncromatic 1200

Unfortunately, documentation is not available for the Pfaff Synchromatic 1200. Pfaff does have the manuals for the Syncrhromatic 1209 and 1215. The threading pattern probably didn't change much between the 1200 and these other machines. Look at page 7 of the Synchromatic 1209 here, http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Machines/Support-manuals/Synchromatic_1209-manual-EN.PDF , to see if this helps. Unlike most sewing machines, the 1209 doesn't thread the upper thread from right to left. Instead, you bring the thread from the spool to a slot on the top left. Then work down to the guide, up to the take up lever, and down through the next guide as you move the thread to the right to the needle.

I hope this helps. The other available Pfaff manuals can be found here: http://www.pfaff.com/en-US/Support-and-Updates/Support .

Wheel won't turn

it's possible that there is a broken or loose part, it would be a good idea to have the sewing machine checked.

Pfaff 1471 wheel won't turn

Don't force it. You'll need to find the problem that's causing the binding. This means you'll need to look at the mechanisms for thread, gunked up lint and oil, etc. If this is beyond the scope of your mechanical ability please take it in for a "clean, lube and adjust" Pay the money to get it working correctly and then you'll be able to love your Pfaff again.

I've just bought a Pfaff 1471 and it has "locked-up"... the needle won't go up and down and the hand-wheel won't move. Help please! :)

Do you have a bunch of material and thread stuck in the feed dog? Sounds like. This will sometimes happen. I'm afraid the only thing you can do is carefully work with a seam ripper or small scissors to get it all out. Be careful working. You will damage this part of your fabric, but you can take the seam allowance in a small bit. You will probably have to remove fabric & thread from underneath, through the bobbin area, too.

Once you have all of this cleared, the needle and wheel will turn. I suggest you try and take the needle out of the shaft and try pulling it out of the fabric before you start your work, too. That way, you won't risk breaking it and have a piece fly off at you.

It's frustrating and will probably make you curse at the machine-it's happened to everyone who sews at one time or another, and will happen again, I'm afraid.
