There is no power to my dishwasher. I have checked the breaker and it was fine. We pulled it out and couldnt find a problem. I cant find a reset button anywhere, but everyone keeps telling me it should have one. Could you please give me some advise & let me know about that reset button.
A diswasher is normally plugged into a non-switched outlet under the sink. Make certain the power cord hasn't been knocked out ot the outlet.
Most homes today come pre-wired for a garbage disposal, as well. Normally there will be one duplex jack under the sink, one jack "always on", the other controlled by a wall switch above the counter. If you don't have a garbage disposal, make certain the dishwasher is plugged into the "always on" jack.

Try turning the breaker for the dishwasher off for 30 seconds and turn it back on. This should reset the dishwasher control board. If it still doesn't work then most likely the power failure burned up the main control board. The control boards in the newer dishwashers are sensitive to any type of power surges or failures.
The power issue with the Miele G2630 dishwasher is due to a blown fuse inside the dishwasher or due to faulty main board of the dishwasher. However, before checking internal components we can first reset the circuit breaker, make sure it is a 15 A breaker. If the breaker is fine then you'll need to disassemble the dishwasher. Try and dis-mantle the dishwasher from its place, before this remember to turn off power and water supply. And also check for the drain hose. After the dishwasher is dismantled, you can remove the back panel of the dishwasher and check for the blown fuse and also check for any loose connections on the power supply board. Inspect for burnt components on the main board.

when you say the plug is 'fine' does that mean you've checked the line for 120 or 208 volts with a voltmeter?
if so then the only thing to do is pull it apart and find out where your problem is. It has to be somewhere before any lights or motors.
I'm assuming this dishwasher is on a GFCI breaker (the test/reset outlets that trip when wet), if so that would be to check if you haven't confirmed voltage on the outlet. Keep in mind it doesn't have to be on the outlet you're plugging the dishwasher into, it may be a few feet away, I suggest you just make sure all the outlets are working properly
you need to check that you have power going through the breaker. you do that with a voltmeter.once you know you have power through the breaker you have to check you have power at the Dishwasher with the voltmeter.if you have power there you could have reset on the motor. or the clock has gone bad.I have seen some feed out of a GFI outlet to the dishwasher.
My dishwasher just quit mid cycle. (still has water in it) It is a whirlpool partner 1. I checked the breaker and it wasn't tripped... but i reset it anyways. When I tried the dishwasher again it worked for a second and turned off. I have done reading about the thermo fuse but can't find it. Not sure how big of a problem this is.
Dishwasher is 5 years old.
Your question is: Will not start, seems to have no power at all. You checked the breaker and it's fine. Is there a reset button somewhere on this dishwasher ?
Whirlpool Dishwasher model gu980scgq3
No reset, if breaker is good then check the connection at the d/w. It's under the d/w behind the kick plate on right or center under a cover box. 9 times out of 10 you'll find a loose, broken or burnt connection there. That done, it's time to call in warranty repair. If beyond warranty you might consider utilizing the Repair Directory to find a repairman. If the d/w has a few years on it perhaps it is time to compare the cost of repair verses replacement.

the first thing to check is power. check your breakers to see if any are tripped. if so turn it off than on some breakers do not reset if you just switch them to the on position. also check if it has a plug or shut off switch in a cabinet nearby .
