Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
I have a Dell Latitude D600 with Win XP. I have used PeoplePC dial up for several years. A week ago, I was on-line and lost connection twice. when I tried to connect the next day, after the modem would ring in,I got an error message saying the remote computer was not answering. I have had several conversations with the techs at PPC and they have checked all my settings. I had my phone line checked and it was OK. My phone provider is Verizon. When I take my computer to a shop that uses ATT phone lines, it dials into PPC with no problem. I still cannot get an answer from the remote computer when I dial from home and I have tried several different numbers and I have tried a temporary dial up connection. Any suggestions? I'm not sure who to contact next, or what questions to ask.
