Go to this link. Type "replace ink" in the search window in the center of the screen and click on the Search button. Now click on the 'How do I replace ink cartridges' link and you will get an illustrated, step by step guide. Hi Vinay kumar kuchipudi , I tried using refillable cartridges and my CYAN is always flashing . rest of the cartridges is reconised. Can you please advice me what to change. I tried the second new ref

Sorry for the delay.,
As you know each cartridge having memory chip, the chip keeps the estimated level of ink inside as per the out put print volume . But there is no contact or any internal circuit to link up with the chip.. Once its empty, even refilling the ink inside chip wont recognizes the ink level, results printer detects that cartridge running out of ink & printer warning appears on panel. You need to replace the chip while refilling the ink. Now a days universal re-settable chips are available in the market, get the set of chips replace with existing chips..

Ink level indicator is showing empty, but just recently replaced

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink or toner cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridges that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks or toner causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead or photo conductors.
If you are using factory new ink or toner cartridges, then please call the manufacturer’s Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

I want to change the ink cartridge in epson Aculaser C900

  1. Write down the printer name and brand.
  2. Remove the empty cartridge and check the writing on it. If it has any bold and big numbers on it, write these down.
  3. Go to office supply store and give the clerk your notes.
  4. Make sure you get the right one and take it home.
  5. Check to be sure your printer is on.
  6. Open your printer's lid.
  7. Take out the old cartridge and put inside a small ziploc if you want to.
  8. Dispose of the old cartridge. Or if possible, have the cartridge recycled.
  9. Unpack new cartridge and place inside the printer.
  10. Print a test page.
  11. Reconfigure printer heads for best quality.

Same problem

HP printers use a little bit of color ink, even if you only print in black. This is done by HP inorder to keep the color printhead jets clear.

You can select "greyscale only" by clicking on [Preferences] and going to the advanced screen. Choose "use greyscale only".

When you print a color page, the printer will only print black/grey. However ... it will still use a tiny bit of each color ink.

Oh, yeah .. they make lots of money, too.

Refilled my Dell Ink Cartridge

yes, it's safe, and if you are dissatisfied with the cartridge, take it up with the cartridge re-filler...better yet, spend about $100 on a black & white laser printer (HP), and get 2000 pages per cartridge, and reduce cost per page by 20 times or more! And If you buy compatibles for this (which are more reliable) -save even more.

Sorry to say this, I had a Canon Pixma and it wouldn't print unless you replaced empty cartridge, although I did have some success for a while longer by pressing OK button?

Screen reads "Near empty Cyan" but I just replaced the Cyan ink cartridge, its full.

If the firmware update doesn't work, you can reset this error.

Unplug unit. Remove offending cartridge. Plug unit back in, wait until all startup noises have stopped. Open lid and reinstall cartridge. This will solve the fault as long as the sensor is working.

Also, please be aware, you should not have to change a cartridge if it says "Near Empty", only if it says "Ink Empty Magenta".

Also, please make sure none of your other cartridges are empty. I have seen this over and over. Two cartridges empty at the same time, and the person replaces one of them but thinks they actually replaced the other one.

Turn the power off and pull all the cartridges out. Look a the side of the cartridge, you should see a window with a little plastic tab sticking out. This tab should be blocked by a black float inside the cartridge. If you cannot see the float, and the tab is clear with no ink in it and no float tab blocking it, it means the cartridge is empty even if you still see some ink in the bottom.

To be sure plug the machine in without any cartridges. When all the noises have stopped, open the lid and install the cartridges. If you're still getting an error saying either a cartridge is not installed or is empty, then one of your cartridges is empty. Redo the previous paragraph.
