Question about Washing Machines
I need to fill transmission and I need to find out how many Oz of oil is required for this model and also the weight of this oil or if can I use regular gear oil for cars, any advise.
As in any gearbox the weight of the oil is reasonably important as this regulates spin of rotary parts, keeps thing at certain temperatures and obviously reduces wear and tear... However washing machines spin at fairly low R'sPM so the viscosity(or weight) doesn't really matter. To fill simply pour enough oil so that you can just see the suface of the oil in the hole, possibly using a flashlight or, feeling with a finger or bent wire.
