Why do i have no heat on my dryer after cord was replaced after it caught on fire?

I would check the heating element for continuity. If you don't have a multimeter, you could buy a cheap one or borrow one maybe? I found a video on youtube in case you need to know how to do it. Good luck

You will need to replace the element and thermostat. They come in a kit. Here is a link to the parts.

No heat in dryer

Air flow is the air coming from the fan via a hose vented outside...the element can be checked by a multimeter should read about 32 ohms if its ok no readings means its open circuit..could also be thermostat..1st see if has thermal cut off ' back of machine to reset......

Admiral capacity plus dryer is not heating up - it seams to through a little heat for a couple of minutes then it is cool - i tried this on the auto setting and on the "straight" minutes setting.

check your vents and lint trap. there is an overheat sensor that will cut out power to your element. also there is an overheat fuse which may blow (cheap and easy to replace) but there would be no heat at all and in some models the dryer won't even turn on it it blows. so this is not likely
