Phaser 8560 magenta ink not transfering to paper

I;ve got an 8560 dn where the magenta ink only is not transfering completely from the drum to the paper. The maintenance kit is new and working well. the Ink is NOT xerox. how do i remove all the inksticks and replace with xerox... I've learned my lesson. The standard cleaning nor replacing the Maintenance Kit helps. Someone must know of a complete cleaning process. The machine history is 12 mo old and 22,000 prints (12,000 in color)

Diagnosing Print-Quality Problems

2. Scroll to Print Quality Problems, then press OK.

The Troubleshooting Print Quality Page includes instructions for printing the
Eliminate Light Stripes test print. These instructions are also provided on the next
page of this manual. The Eliminate Light Stripes test print indicates individual weak
or missing jets or an obstruction in the imaging path that affects a vertical band down
the entire page. Also, you may see color variation from jet to jet on the Eliminate
Light Stripes test print. Some variation is normal, occasionally occurs, and usually
self-corrects within a few printed pages. If a print-quality problem is not resolved
with the information provided in the Diagnosing Print-Quality

Manually verify that the ink stick is able to advance in the ink loader chute. Check for broken or wrong type ink cubes.

Ink count sensor flags are stuck after melting 2.5 ink sticks. The following codes are recorded: 9,03x.41, where x= 5 for cyan, 6 for magenta, 7 for yellow, and 8 for black. (Your error indicates black ink loader failure)

Features on the bottom of genuine Xerox ink sticks actuate the Ink Out Sensor located at the forward end of each ink channel of the Ink Loader. The sensor indicates the passage of ink to provide a count of ink consumption.

Damaged or non-genuine ink sticks may not reliably actuate the sensors. This can lead to false Ink Out messages as well as Ink Stick count faults. Using 8400 model ink in a 8500/8550/8560 models will also cause 9,03x.4x ink stick count faults.
Ink Loader will need replaced and then diagnostics entered to run "Clear ISC Fault" test to clear the error.

Keeps asking for ink and it has ink


Try removing, and then reseating the MAGENTA cartridge.

If you replace the MAGENTA toner-cartridge, does the problem go away?

Does phaser 8560 and 8500 take same ink


The 8500 and the 8550 do use the same solid ink cartridges. Not sure about the 8560 since couldn't find information about it.

Patchy color printing, streaks and dull colors using Phaser 8200


I have the same exact problem. I just switched to a mac and the colors are awful. I tried from 3 different macs at work, trying different combinations of color profiles, settings, etc, and the colors always look completely off. Blues are magenta, bright red is a dull reddish, orange is completely brown. It looks like Xerox decided to not even try to make this aspect work with the Mac. This is on the latest Mac book Pro, running Snow Leopard, to a Xerox Phaser 8560 DN.

Phaser 8560 error code


Most likely you are using generic ink or ink not made for that specific machine. The black ink is the one causing the problem. the printer will then need to be reset.

Xerox phaser 8560 DN is jamming in same place every time.  I remove paper and it re jams in same place.  Now printer is making a loud gear slipping noise.


There is mostlikey a scrap of paper that you can not see still in the machine. You can gently walk a thicker piece of paper through the paper path and see if it pushes out the obstruction. Be very careful not to scratch the drum when you try this.
