I need to take off the bios password

the bios password can be removed by toshiba, they have a master code which will remove the bios password. There is no generic master code that will remove this bios password. It is unique to each machines serial number and can only be removed by them. I am sorry but that is what you will have to do

Dell 1525 won't run on ac but will on generic battery

Dell systems will not charge the battery without a Dell Branded AC adapter connected to the system (The BIOS looks for the adapter ID and disables the battery charger if not ID'd)
It appears, that since the system will not power on with either AC adapter, that there is a problem with the power connection of the system. You can replace the power board

if that fails to resolve next is the motherboard

I have an error Artemis!13a90680100c and i can't get rid if it I have reformated an i still have it

That's not an error, it's a nasty virus. When you reformat, make sure you delete and recreate the C: partition. Then, make sure all the media that you use to restore your files are clean of viruses.

Need instruction guide to replace Lcd screen on Gateway MX 6927

Hi,

This I found for you : http://www.screentekinc.com/lcd-removal-instructions.shtml. Its a generic screen removal video but from my experience (of which i have quite a lot), most laptop screens are connected in the same way and removal involves pretty much the same steps.

Good luck.

Screen dims on the HP Compac nc6400 when on battery.

Hello Artemis,

My name is ArmyMason and I think I can help you with this. Their is two different ways of getting around this issue. One is turning up the back light via your keyboard. Their should be a blue picture of a sun with an arrow pointing up, mine is on the F10 key. Hold down the FN key and tap the up sun key until you get the desired brightness. The other solution is take the computer out of laptop mode. You can do this by right clicking on your desktop and choose properties. Click the Screen saver tab and then click the Power Button. Change the power scheme to Home/Office Desk and click Apply. Now when you are on battery power your computer sceen shouldn't dim and your processor should also run at full speed if you choosed to do the second option.

Thanks,
ArmyMason
