Hey i have the same problem and have been looking for help we bought ours last night and have tried several times to wash clothes. We're level front to back and diagonally. The bolts on the feet are screwed tight to the appliance and still in slow spin mode it sounds like it is off balance and it vibrates and shakes and is kinda scary if you ask me.

I just asked about my washer vibration and did you answer my comp. kicked out and I did not get my answer

Washer vibration can be caused by a broken counter balance spring. Ur washer may be equipped with one or more counter balance springs which help to absorb the natural movement of the spinning tub. If a counter balance spring fails the tub might lean in one direction more than another and it will shake and cause vibration.

Front load washer vibrates while draining

Plug off the mains from the wall socket. Open up the top of the washer, look to see if any springs supporting the drum are broken. Next check shocks below (known as dampers). If they pump too freely, should be replaced. Parts can be obtained searching ads on this site, Fixya

Excessive drum vibration

Yes, look into trading in the Kenmore for one of only two manufacturers that employ a dynamic balance system built into the washer drum. Samsung and LG both use this dynamic balance system that balances the load while it is in motion. They also use a vibration sensing system to modify the time and speed of the spin cycles to minimize any vibration that might still be present. LG has this available on only their upper level models while Samsung's VRT is available on most all models. I believe that both of these manufacturer's are available from Sears.

My new Ge washer is making loud and vibrating noises while spinning. the washer does not seem to be off balance.

Who installed this? Sounds like they didnt remove the shipping rod located on back of machine. If so, refer to instruction manual for how to remove rod. Usually just pulls out.

Washing machine has a seizure during the spin cycle.

Try leveling the washer so that it is about half a bubble biased towards the rear. This usually helps front loading washers balance properly even if the installation instructions say that it should be perfectly level. This can also aid draining problems.
Also, some newer front loading washing machines are simply prone to dramatic vibration even when they is "anti-vibration" or "vibration reduction" systems. You can never go wrong installing an anti-vibration pad under the washer. Good Vibrations Inc, Kellett Enterprises and The Vibration Solution all have good products. The Vibration Solution seems to have figured out the best solution and offers excellent support and return policies.

If all else fails call the retailer and ask for an exchange.

MAYTAG LAT8506AAE WASHER - TERRIBLE NOISE/VIBRATION ON SPIN

Try this for re-setting the balancing mechanism:
With the washer empty, tip tip it forward so that it is just sitting on the front feet. Hold it there for a few seconds, then gently lower the back down. (Often there is a mechanism in the back feet that automatically levels it for you--if this doesn't work, check that the back feet are not damaged.)
