Question about HP Photosmart E317 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Can't find my pictures!

I can not find the pictures on my camera. I have over 400 pictures saved and yesterday i tried to turn on the camera and the only pictures in there are the last 5 that i took. i have no idea what to do. I also tried clicking on the Thumbnails option but once again only the last five that i took are there. This happened like last week too, but i pushed something and was able to retrieve all the photos again. I cant seem to remember what i did and i want to know why this is happening all of a sudden. The pictures are not deleted because I am the only one who uses the camera. thank you to whoever can help me!

If you are not able to find your connecting cable. and i am assuming your need is to transfer the data to comp. Well what you can do is you can take out the memory card and fix it into the card reader (you will get a card reader vey cheap anywhere.). and connect it to your comp. Now your card will work as a flash drive and you can transfer data easily then... Hope this helps you out.. :)

We are getting that our memory card is full and it continues even after we delete a lot of the pictures on the card

Try to format the card in-camera - after saving your images on you computer or hard drive. There are sometimes issues when the card has been formatted elswhere, so always format in-camera.

Are you formatting the card in the camera as you're supposed to? Have you tried going into the menu and finding "reset" and followed the on-screen instructions? Do you have photos on the internal memory? If so, remove your card and format the camera to erase the memory.

9 times out of 10 a shutter has failed or the lcd has gone out on your camera.. The only way to test this would be try snapping a picture and hook it up to to you computer and see if the picture was saved if it was then its the lcd if not its a shutter issue- thanks

I've had my Sony camera for a while. i use it strictly for taking pictures and i don't know how to use all the functions. I had over 400 pictures saved (1G chip) and they were there for about a year but i turned on the camera and there are only 52 pictures...Can they be there and me not know where? Can they just erase?

IXUS 70 with black screen!

Did you accidentally press the lower-left DISP button on the back of your camera? This manually turns the screen on and off to save battery power. You would then use the optical viewfinder in its place. Try pressing the DISP button once to see if the screen turns back on.

DISPLAY NOT WORKING

Does your camera have a "DISPLAY" or DISP button on the back. Many cameras do, and its used to manually turn the viewscreen on and off to save batteries. If you notice such a button, turn your camera on, and press this button once.

If this doesn't correct the problem, please provide more details like your camera's make and model (like Canon A70). Also try taking a picture and downloading it to your computer. Verify that the picture looks OK. The reason I'm asking this is that yes, it may be the manufacturer's problem as a defective CCD can also cause this symptom.

Blurry pictures, and zoom not working

yeah the same thing happened to my camera last month and I just went to the repair place yesterday. Apprently Casio products arent that sturdy so if they get hit the lens can become misalligned and you can't fix it yourself. A new lens is more than the camera itself so if you have to get a new camera I wouldnt suggest another casio one. Good luck.
