Mate...same thing happen to me. I put in 3 different sim cards which all work on my other phone. So, try fiddling with the plated contact on the sim card holder (lack of other term for it). I just raised the contacts a bit, making sure there is good contact between the sim card and the leads. Works fine now. Good luck.

brother simple solution is go to contacts select all contacts click on menu select copy contacts and select "to sim" click ok.. all the contacts will transfer in the sim card please remember that there is only 250 numbers limit in sim card.. hope it will help you. thanks
Hi I had the same problem and posted under sanj981, my phone was over a year old so had built up alot of dust and over the conectors, etc.
I simple used a new soft brissled paint brush to dust the inside of the memory card slot gently. also did it by moistening the brush with electronic circuit cleaner (available from hardware stores), left the imate to dry with battery removed for about an hour, turned it on and inserted the card and it worked.
be careful not to get too much cleaner liquid in the slot, it will drip down and go under the lcd screen. it will then take a few days to evaporate.
