Hi, I just finished reading the whole user manual for your phone to find out that the phone does not have a built in answering machine service.

The answering machine service must therefore be managed through your phone provider.

Call your phone provider (eg: At&T, BT, Telecom, Virgin etc.) to set up the answering machine service.

If you tell us your phone company we can be more specific on how to set answering machine.

With the Binatone/Tevio Simphony G15 you can even receive and send SMS, but you do not have built in answering machine, you must rely to the service provided by phone company like on any other landline phone.

Are thee any Binatone handsets compatable as extra handset to add to Binatone symphony 3325 unable to get new handsets but main answering machine and handset are still working

with cordless phones the problem is that the hand sets have to be recognized by the base station ( paired) and unless you have the exact hand piece make and model this pairing and recognition will not happen
if you can get 2nd hand units for the 3325 base then the base will accept them ( any number of additions ) but if the hand piece is different it will not work
you you need extra hand pieces then it may be best to consider a new system where you can buy extra phones and chargers

Answering machine Model 25865. Is there any way to turn the answering machine "on" remotely. Example: while away, electrical storm causes machine to turn off. Is there any way to remotely...

The manual for this phone doesn't say you can turn the answering machine on remotely, but every one I've ever seen can do so. Most of them say call your number and let the phone ring...and ring...and ring, and eventually the answering machine will turn on. Ten rings is what I've seen most often. I guess the manufacturers figure most callers will hang up fairly soon if the machine doesn't answer, so they pick a large number. Try it on your phone; worst that can happen is it won't work.
