Chances are you have backlight issues, very common issue on this set

often time caused by a bad motor position sensor also called a hall sensor. very common issue on older lg washers. the new sensors are more hardy and do not have same issues. pretty easy replacement. part is under $20. good videos at both appliancepartspros.com and repairclinic.com. type in your make and model and a video will come up and show you how. good luck.

Pull the line off at the icemaker and check for a filter at the inlet...often **** builds up there and stops off the water...

The most common issues are cable related. If the eject button on the front works but the computer doesn't see the drive, check the data cable. Make sure the cable is fully seated at the motherboard and is correctly oriented and connected to the drive. (Check the orientation first; it is easy to get upside down.) Since this is an IDE drive, you may also have to check the jumpers are at cable select.

If the eject button doesn't work, then you don't have power. Try a different power connector.

If you have enough power to eject and see the drive, then check your drivers and software. (A failing power supply or one that just doesn't have enough power for your system under load are also possible issues for write problems.)
