If you have not yet installed the wireless card driver then install it. To connect to your wireless router then -
Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access.
The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key.
The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings.
To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.
To connect your ThinkPad to your wireless router, the wireless card in the ThinkPad needs to be configures with the router's wireless settings, ie. the SSID and encryption key etc.

If you do not have an 'N' compatible wireless adapter in your laptop, make sure you set the Belkin to 'B/G' compatability mode. Also, the type of security if an older laptop is probably limmited to WPA-PSK, and you would need to set that up in the router as well. Extremely old laptop wireless adapters may be limmited to WEP, which is an old an unreliable security encryption.
If you have a wireless router, the printer will talk to the router and not to the thinkpad. You would have to establish a connection between the printer and the router.
Then share the printer to print.
If you dont have a wireles router and you are trying to connect your thinkpad to the printer directly, the wireless card in the thinkpad should be in the adhoc mode. ( See Wireless card properties )
Hope this helps

It may be that you have to set the router to enabe DHCP, as this will give your pc an automatic IP address.
The original address settings will be different than that of your router, so go into your wireless network card properties and ensure that obtain IP adress automatically is enabled.
You may also need to run the dns flush;
Click Start>Run, then type ipconfig /flushdns then press enter.
