Question about Microsoft Internet Explorer 7

When I select Bookmarks/Manage all, I get a Google error "Server error - pls. try again in a few seconds." I always get this error and cannot reorganize my bookmarks although I used to be able to do this.

I uninstalled the toolbar and then reinstalled it since I couldn't check Manage All bookmarks since I no longer had the toolbar. I still have the problem.

Remove bookmarks

The bookmarks bar contains all your bookmarks and bookmark folders created in Google Chrome. You can dock the bar directly underneath the address bar at the top of the browser window for easy access to your favorite sites.

Dock the bookmarks bar

  1. Click the Chrome menu snp_9721c573e41777fba43e1498ad084e3b160c_2696434_en_v2 on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Bookmarks.
  3. Select Always show bookmarks bar.
You can also use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shift+B (Windows and Chrome OS) and Command-Shift-B (Mac) to toggle the bar on and off.

Hide or undock the bookmarks bar

Right-click (or control-click on a Mac) the bookmarks bar and deselect Always show bookmarks bar. When the bookmarks bar is undocked, you can always find it at the top of the New Tab page.

How do I access my bookmarks on Chrome Browser.

I don't quite understand your question on how to access your bookmarks. If you mean to manage your bookmarks, you can choose the Bookmarks Manager option under the Bookmarks menu.
Also, you might want to give this plugin a try. It will search through your Chrome's bookmarks when you conduct a Google's search right on Google's page.

How can I transfer my bookmarks to a new computer?

The simplest method to transfer bookmarks between computers is by "signing in" to Chrome on the first computer. All of your Chrome browser data and preferences (including bookmarks) will be saved into your Google account, and that will be available whenever you sign in again on any other computer.

Here's how to sign in: In the Chrome web browser, click on the wrench icon (upper right corner), then select "Sign in to Chrome".

Then enter your Google account user name and password.

All of your Chrome bookmarks, extensions and other preferences will then be saved into your Google account online.

Then on your new computer, install the Chrome browser, and again "sign on" with the same Google account. Your Chrome bookmarks, extensions and other preferences will be retrieved from your Google account.

Alternatively, you can export your bookmarks from the Chrome browser on the old computer. Click on the wrench icon, select "Bookmark manager"; then select Organize > Export bookmarks. That will generate an HTML file. Copy that file to the new computer (e.g., by using a flash drive). Then on the new computer, install the Chrome browser, select "Bookmark manager"; then select Organize > Import bookmarks.

Hope that's helpful.
