Error messages on desktop

You have a virus, First uninstall any program you do not recognize, then install ccleaner and run it at default settings to remove any junk.

Then in ccleaner go to the tools tab, and then startup.
Look for the newnext entry, and remove it.

The start up section is what calls the dll in question, removing it from the start up should get rid of the error.

You really should get an I.T. professional to give it a once over to make sure it is good to go.

Anywhere I can download a free repair for my pc? It keeps giving the following message: "The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\NVDESK32.DLL is not a valid windows image. Please check this...

Have you tried doing a file search for nvdesk32.dll on your c: drive? You may find it in another folder. If you find it in another folder just copy and paste it to the c:\windows\system32 folder. Good luck.

When I boot my computer, which runs Windows 7 64-bit, I get the RunDLL message, "LogiLDA.dll specified module could not be found."

I have the same problem logiLDA.dll not found. Look like this is a Logitech file that is for Logitech Download Assistant. You can go to start (type) msconfig and find it on the startup tab and disable it, I'm currently looking for a solution.

Many DLL error messages on start up

Your Operating System is corrupted, probably by a virus or a program you recently installed.
The best solution would be to reinstall your Operating System (OS).
Remember to back up your data before OS installation.

Shell32.dll

Try running RUN and type regsvr32.exe /i shell32.dll.

This actually fixes the shell32.dll and installs it again.

RegSvr32.exe has the following command-line options:

Regsvr32 [/u] [/n] [/i[:cmdline]] dllname

/u - Unregister server
/i - Call DllInstall passing it optional [cmdline] (/i /u calls dll uninstall)
/n - do not call DllRegisterServer (must be used with /i)
/s Silent (added with Windows XP and Windows Vista)

Windows explorer

Both of the utilities you have listed have good reviews, but
there are three possibilities:

1) You have somehow damaged the windows shell,
explorer.exe, it's libraries or its registry entries,
while you ware cleaning your system.

In this case you will need to either re-install windows,
or at least repair windows from the install disks and
re-apply service pack 3.

2) You may still have a rogue program or a root-kit running
somewhere. Check the task manager (ctrl-alt-del),
shut down all unnecessary tasks. Then got to:

Control Panel ==> Administrative Tools ==>
Services,

and stop all unnecessary services, but do NOT
disable them, unless you know what you are doing.

they will re-start when you re-boot.

Download Mike Lin's startup monitor, and disable
all unwanted programs from starting up ==> reboot

Once you have trimmed your system to the bare minimum,

see if the problem persists.

You may also scan your system with rootkit detectors,
such as 'black light" and rootkit revealer by Mark Russinovich

3) You have a large corrupt media or picture file in your root
directory, and windows explorer is hanging while trying to
generate a preview thumbnail.

Disable: shmedia.dll = Show media
and shimgvw.dll = Show Image View

START ===> RUN
type:

regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll
regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll

To re-enable pre-view, enter the previous commands
without the /u switch.
