Tring to connect to my wii but I need pass code or key for linksys ,WPA-PSK ( TKIP)

(1) Go to a web browser (IE, Firefox, Opera, etc.) and copy and paste into the address bar: http://192.168.1.1/

(2) when prompted, default login is blank, and password is "admin" (if this does not work, I recommend asking a separate question on FixYa for this)

(3) Go to this link (external link to Linksys website). Start on "Step 2". It will help you find (and change, if desired) the "key" to your wireless network.

*remember: if you changed your key, you will have to change your internet connection settings to reflect this new change, otherwise you may find that your computer will not connect to the wireless network

Hey there,

in connecting wirelessly to the router, we need to make sure the encryption on the router.

Access the router setup screen, check the IP address first of the computer.

Open IE type there 192.168.1.1 username is blank and password is admin.

once it is on the setup screen checked the wireless tab and look for wireless security, verify it and try to connect again.

in your wireless computer, right click wireless connection and go to view available wireless network, try to connect - input the network key if in case it is not asking you for it, click the changed the order of the preferred networks and then removed all the preferred networks there, then try to connect again and you will now be asked for a network try to connect and you should be connected then.

Tring to use a wireless n usb on a g router

Make sure to use the wireless utility of your wireless N adapter and not the Windows Wireless Zero Configuration utility. You can also change the wireless channel of your router to channel 11 and power cycle the router by turning it off for 30 seconds then turn it back on. Try to connect again. Make sure firewall on your computer is disabled.
