Hp deskjet d1320 yellow light keeps blinking

Thank you for suggesting that the cartridge might be bad. I almost got rid of my deskjet D1320 because it was blinking continuously and I could not figure out why. I tried everything from new driver to looking for a paper jam and nothing worked until I tried your suggestion. I tried each of the cartridge separately to find out that the black cartridge was making the light blink but not the color on. I replaced the black cartridge and the printer is fine now

There 3 light on the printer that able to indicate to user when problem occur. Which is the light u mean here?
37d307a.jpg
1st button light blink rapidly = the printer may be out of paper, so load more paper and press the 1st button itself to continue. Or may be paper jam is occur, so clear the paper jam and press the 1st button light itself to continue.

If 1st button light blink slowly = mean the cartridge carriers are stuck, so raise the scanner unit and remove any object blocking the path of the cartridge carrier, make sure the cartridge are closed and installed properly, then lift the scanner unit, gently push the scanner support towards the cartridge carriers, and carefully lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed. After that press the 1st button itself to continue.

If 2nd LED light blinking = the color cartridge need to be replaced soon.

If 2nd LED light is ON = the color cartridge need to be replaced immediately.

If 3rd LED light blinking = the black cartridge need to be replaced soon.

If 3rd LED light is ON = the black cartridge need to be replaced immediately.

Printer will not print. power light and feed light blink on & off

the power and feed lights blinking is the indicator for a (printer cartridge has stalled) problem sounds like there is a cartrage mis-installed or a peice has broken off and is tripping the sensor. In the first part of you problem you said you resolved a carteage problem that might lend a clue depending on what you actually did to resolve that issue could be the cover that you have to peel off when you install a cartridge and a peice got torn off good luck

Blinking light--won't print

give a try to dis one..

Remove all the cartridges and the paper from the printer...Power off the printer...unplugg the power cable from the back of the printer...while printer is unplugged from the power..press n hold the power button for atleast 60 seconds then release it..open the back door of the printer and look for any paper jam...remove paper from behind (if any) and roll the rollers in upward direction from behind..close the back door and connect the power cable to the printer and power on the printer..Look for the cartridge slots and clean it wid a lynt free cloth and the copper contacts of the cartridges as well...then insert only one cartridge (black or color) and close the cartridge door and check for any blinking lights on the printer...similarily repeat it with the other cartridge..by this u wud get to know if any cartridge is faulty? If u get blinking lights on the printer ...that means there is some problem,,,
Once you see the steady green light on the power..it means the printer is ready..You can also print a test page..."Press n Hold the power button down...while holding the power button down...either press "Down Arrow button" 4 Times OR "Red X button once"...then release the Power button to print the test print..
If it prints ..u r the master !!!
Best of luck

Remember if there is any blinking light,,the printer wont prin..
if the light blinks around the drops..it means there is cartridge issue and you may even replace the cartridges..make sure u remove the pink tape carefully before inserting the cartridges.

ALL THE BEST

Hp 1350 all-in-one

When power is applied to the all-in-one for the first time, the power light is solid and the check paper, check print cartridge, black copy, and color copy lights flash, the display will be blank, and the all-in-one will not respond. One or more of the following symptoms will also be observed: The all-in-one keeps turning off Cannot print, scan, or copy The print carriage will not move Windows plug and play (device detection) does not occur The all-in-one does not respond when buttons are pressed, including the power button. SOLUTION: This problem occurs for two reasons: the front panel cover was not installed or the ink cartridge access door was not closed before plugging in the all-in-one. The front panel overlay must be correctly installed before the power cord is plugged in. Follow the steps below to correct the problem: Disconnect the power cord. Lift the scanner lid and carefully line up and install the front panel overlay. Plug the power cord in. The print cartridge access door must be closed before the all-in-one is plugged in for the first time. The all-in-one cannot complete its first initialization until the door is closed. Follow the steps below to correct the problem: Disconnect the power cord. Locate and close the print cartridge access door. CAUSE: The all-in-one initializes when it is plugged in for the first time. While initializing, the all-in-one scans a bar code on the under side of the front panel cover requiring that the front panel cover be in place and that the scanner be operable. The scanner cannot operate when the cartridge access door is open On light (green) - On Check Paper light (amber) - Blink Simultaneously Check Print Cartridge light (amber) - Blink Simultaneously Black copy area backlight (green)- Blink Simultaneously Color copy area backlight (green) - Blink Simultaneously Issue Front panel overlay is not attached at all or not attached properly Solution Turn Off the all-in-one. You will need to do the following diagnostic tests to determine the exact cause of the error: · Remove the ink cartridges · Perform the self test (test B below) · Test the ink cartridges A. To remove the ink cartridges: Switch the printer on by pressing the green button. Open the front cover of the printer. The cartridge carrier should move to the center of the opening. Remove both cartridges. If the carrier does not move to the center of the opening, you will need to remove the cartridges by hand. Turn the printer off and remove the power supply cable (the small circular one) from the back of the printer. Open the front cover of the printer. Inside the printer, locate the silver metal carrier bar on which the print carriage slides. Locate the black rubber carrier belt above the carrier bar. This belt has tracks on its inner portion. Grab the top portion of the belt and move it toward the right. As you move this, the ink cartridge carrier will move to the left. Continue to move the belt until the carrier is in the center of the opening. Now pull both cartridges out. B. To perform the self-test: Disconnect both the power cable and the USB or parallel cable. After one minute has passed, plug the power supply cable (the small black circular one) back in. (This step is necessary to reset the printer.) Turn the printer off by pressing the green power button. Hold down the grey paper feed button. Turn the printer on by pressing the green button. After the printer begins to feed paper, release the grey button. Once the paper exits the printer, press the green button to turn the printer off. If the power light blinks twelve times while no cartridges are installed, there is a problem with the printer. If this is a new purchase, you can also exchange the printer at the point of purchase. If the paper went through the printer as if printing was occurring, you will need to do some more testing. Continue as instructed below. C. To test the ink cartridges: Open the front cover and insert only the black ink cartridge. Make sure that you push it back until it snaps into place. Close the front cover. If the light flashes twelve times, there may be a defect in the black cartridge. If not, proceed to the next step. Turn the printer off using the green power button. Hold down the grey paper-feed button. Turn the printer on using the green button. After the printer begins to feed paper, release the grey button. Once the paper exits the printer, press the green button to turn the printer off. If the light flashes twelve times, there may be a defect in the black cartridge. If a page came through with a black line, your black cartridge is working properly. Now you need to take the black cartridge out and perform the same steps with the color cartridge. If the light flashes twelve times, there may be a defect in the color cartridge. If a page came through with colored lines, your color cartridge is working properly. If one of the cartridges is causing the problem, you will need to replace that cartridge. If it is a new cartridge, please exchange it at the point of purchase. Good luck

It will not print.

Hi Greenhorn, Your info is slightly conflicting - I think. As I remember the C60 has just 2 LED's: 1 - Green for Power 2 - Red for Error The third button - Cartridge exchange - has no LED Now it is a while since I looked at a C60 and my brain leaks like a sieve, but that's the way I remember it and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. The error codes I remember are: Printer status - Indicators - Priority Power - Error Power ON condition On - Ink sequence Blink - Ink Cartridge change mode Blink - Data processing Blink - Paper Out *1 - On Paper jam condition *1 - On Ink end (Black) *1 - On -> Blink Ink level low (Black) - Blink-> Blink Ink end (Color) *1 - On -> Blink2 Ink level low (Color) - Blink-> Blink2 Ink end (Black and Color) - On -> On No Ink Cartridge (Black or Color) *1 - On Maintenance request (Ink Overflow Countererror) *1 Alt Blink Alt Blink Fatal error *1 Off On Special setting Blink2 Blink2
