Question about HP PSC 950 All-In-One InkJet Printer

2 Answers

After having changed to Windows Vista, I several times have had the problem, when i want to make copies, that the psc 950 continuosly says "warming up" - and denies to copy. However the greatest problem now is, that - even I have made a fresch download for the 950 psc - it denies p? print at all. On the PCs control panel the pc reports, that the psc 950 is "temporary disconnected". When I earlier used the Windows 2000 I had a psc 950 ikon on the screen. Can this be arranged on my Windows Vista?

You may or maynot have tried this, but have you upgraded the driver to XP? The drivers that are written are sometimes specific to Operating Systems. Go to HP's website and download the software for that printer for the XP operating system and see if that resolves your problem. Here is the link, just pick your exact model number:
http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_pagetype=s-002&h_query=psc+950

And then download the software for XP. Let me know if this resolves your problem.

Please explain if you are in netwrok.... also try this step.
Click on start button and select run if youhave Win XP.
Tye msconfig in the run window and click on ok.
Click on the startup tab and then disable all startup items.
Click on services tab and select hide all microsoft services.
Click on disable all. (Hide all microsoft services is imp - do not miss that)
Click on apply and reboot.
Now try working on your system and check if this issue resolves by itself.
If the issue gets resolved we need to check your services tab and start up items which must be causing thisissue.

also reply if you have norton installed...
Please explain in detail any error messages while you try to copy
Also explain if you have windows live care installed in your computer

HP PSC 1210 Not Printing

Hi My first quesiton to you would be: What version of windows are you using. If you are using Windows Vista you will need to go to the HP Site and download the new updated drivers for the new OS. Second Question : Are you using genuine HP printer catriges? If so make sure the contact point where the catrigr and the printer meet are clean and free of dust. Try re seating the cartriges and re calibrating th printer. I checked with HP online tech support and they backed me on this. If you have any more trouble feel free to email me : hartmansp@inbox.com Have a great day.
