This type of thing usually happens because the computer is doing other things such as accessing the harddrive or or any other number of things. You can test this by booting into safe mode and see how well your keyboard responds. You will probably find it works fine there. You will need to isolate what other activity is slowing your computer down in the normal mode.

If this helps can you rate this as fixya.

Underneath the keyboard is a little 're-set' button. When you push this it re-synchs with the wireless antenna. Make sure you hold it down long enough fo rthe keyboard to synch, usually about 5 - 7 seconds.

My keyboard is really touchy, on several of the keys

Before you replace the keyboard, try this:

Go to Start>Control Panel>Keyboard

There should be 2 adjustable settings: Repeat Delay, and Repeat Rate.

Move the slider to the left on both settings.

If you cannot get satisfactory results through this, it is probably time for a new keyboard.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Keyboard beeps when any key is pressed

The reason these beeps are happening is because there might be a key that is slightly depressed enough to where its registering keystrokes. Move your fingers all over the keyboard and see if you the beeps stop after you do that. If it still is going on then that means your keyboard is bad and will need to be replaced.
