Question about Sony Televison & Video
I have a Sony Trintron KV-PG21P40. When I'm trying to turn on I get no picture and the standby light blinks stops and start then blinks 9 times over and over. It will eventually, so far, restart after hitting TV and Power many many times. I have tried to re-set to factory settings unsuccesfully. I have unplugged the TV and waited over a minute to replug with no results.
Does anyone know what the fix is to this problem.
Since the set recovers under some conditions, I would first look for poor solder connections. With a set of your vintage, it is common for some of the connections to become faulty. If you can solder, resolder any connections on the board that appear grainy or have rings. Please note that there are potentially dangerous high voltages present inside the set even when unplugged.
