Question about Dell Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
I just forgot it one of my friends gave me an dell operating disk but didn't tell me how use it he said it was too long ago he cant remember can i use disk to delete password
You need to reset your CMOS.Open your CPU cover.and look for CMOS battery. Its a button cell. You have to remove that battery and on the machine and go into bios.It will remove your cmos password.
But if this thing not worke then find out CMOS reset jumper on your motherboard. It will be located somewhere near your CMOS battery.Just remove that jumper and connect to reset settings.and start your machine. It will remove your password.
