Any time you are going to put an electrical circuit outdoors, you must by the electrical code, have that circuit ground fault protected. You can do this in one of two ways. The cheaper way is to place a GFCI outlet in the circuit between the power source and the outdoor blower. The pricey way is to change the circuit breaker for that circuit to a GFCI breaker. Doing that would make the entire circuit GFCI protected.

MAZTANG MT-968 stopped after 30 seconds and won't start. What now?

Check your circuit breaker in your house could need resetting.
If you are plugged into a GFI outlet it may need resetting as well.
That happens a lot with GFI receptacles.

I have a kenmore quietpak 9 dryer model 110.85866400, the dryer blows air but does not heat, how do I repair it?

ELECTRIC Dryer no heat or little heat:

Check your venting and lint basket. Check blower for lint build up and blower wheel obstruction., test by trying to turn the wheel manually by hand (should be easy) May have to remove cabinet or front/back plate to get to it)

Next check the heating element itself with a meter for continuity OHMS CLOSED CIRCUIT. If not its defective.

Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage. 220 because if u only get half or 110 volts you will be able to run the machine which uses only 110 to run motor but not the heater which uses a full 220,

Check the thermal cut off, the cycling and the hi limit thermostats.
For continuity or OHMS. If no ohms or resistance they need replacement.

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.

My Broan range hood keeps going up and down. Will not stop. I unplugged it and plugged back in but keeps going up and down. The hood is almost 2 yrs old. Pls help. Thank you.

This sounds like something has got into the track area and is setting off the safety. they are designed to stop raising or lowering if they meet any resistance and anything in the track area will cause it to happen in both directions

In winter, cold air blows back down and out through the fan.

Hi,
Either a backdraft damper was never installed in the ductwork or the damper is stuck open...
Has it always been this way?? If so then the damper probably was never installed and you will need to have one installed to stop the air...
If it was good at the beginning and now is not then the damper is stuck open...you will need to find it and then get it working agian...
The dampers often are right at the outlet of the hood...if you take down the hood it should be right there...

My miele T220 has recently started pumping out steam from the circular vent / hole on its lower right side. It didn't used to do this so I 'm wondering why it's started and how to stop it. Not sure if...

Only 2 things can cause this. The external vent tube is blocked or clogged, not allowing the moist air out of the dryer, or the internal portion of the vent is clogged. The external one can also be caused by the external flapper on the outside of the house.

Condensation build-up in the dryer drum, clothes remain very damp

You deffinately have some sort of blockage in your exhaust vent, most likely in the wall. Check the outside vent on the outside of the house. The air should be blowing pretty hard. hope this helps. Dave www.washermd.com
