Upon installing a presuably fixed version of Avanquest System Suite 9, I encountered the same problem I faced half a year ago when I ordered an insalation CD from Avanquest. I was immediately hit with the error message, "Sunbelt update installer task default pattern files were not installed. The program disappeared and I could not get it to work. An email to customer service got me the advice to remove the program and then click on a link to the a corrected version. This was all despite that I had just purchased was they knew was a defective program on the disk they sent me. I cliked the link repeatedly and nothing happened. OBVIOUSLY, THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO INTENTION OF FIXING THEIR PROBLEMS. WHERE DO i RETURN THE PROGRAM AND ITS BOX AND MANUAL TO GET A REFUND OF MY MONEY.

There is always a catch with such sites offering PC security packages.

However, as the money is alredy deducted from your debit or credit card, its only on their discretion you would be able to get a refund. You can claim either the charge or if you have already paid the amount to the credit/debit/charge card, kindly file a complaint against them.

These companied used to use their own software products, so its not possible for any one of us to offer you the package that was offered to you.

Rather than sending them an email, i would advise you to call them and clarify the situation.

How to install fresh win xp on dell optiflex gx270


In order for you to install windows xp.

1. Set the bios to boot from computer.
Press Delete upon booting the POST

2. Get your Windows XP Setup Ready and insert the disk into your CD ROM DRive.

Make sure that the CD is bootable or else, it will not boot into setup.

3. Upon the first screen press Enter.
Accept the license agreement.

If you have encountered that the setup detects existing partition. Skip it by pressing ESC.
Delete all the partitions.
Make 2 partitions, or 1 partition, depending on what suits you.

Format the drive with NTFS File system and dont select quick. Use the 2nd level format.
Windows XP will now install. Get your serial key handy and install all the necessary drivers for your system.

D3dx9_37 is missing?


This is due to the fact that your Direct X 9 version is either out of date or just plain missing.
The d3dx9_37.dll file is one of many similar files contained in the DirectX software collection. Because DirectX is used by most Windows based games and advanced graphics programs these errors usually show up when using these programs.

To fix this it is as simple of downloading the latest version of DX9.
Click here to go to FileHippo and get the June 2010 version. Click on the green arrow to the right to start the download.

I've had many people ask me "how is this possible when I've just installed Windows Vista or even Windows 7." The simple answer is that when you install Windows Vista for example it ONLY installes Direct X10 components and when you install Windows 7 it ONLY installs DirectX 10 or 11. Therefore you will need to seperately download and install DirectX 9 in order to play games in DirectX 9 solve this problem.

If installing the latest version of DirectX 9 doesn't solve the problem then do the following:
  • Explore the game CD you are trying to use and find the DirectX 9 version the game or program came with. Install this version.
  • Uninstall the game or software and then re-install it. One of the files associated with d3dx9_37 may have been overwritten or deleted by accident.
  • You could try extracting the d3dx9_37 from the DirectX 9 package and placing it where it needs to be.
  • Re-install or update your graphics card drivers.

you have to run one suite at a time , if you are running both the suite than the speed was automatically slowed down . but after doig you again have to check wheather any windows file missed or not if missed than you hav to istall that again thats the major prob.

Every time I try to install the Sims complete collection I get a message that the install wizard has encountered an unknown error and must abort. What can I do to fix this?


If the version you are installing is a pirated copy, anything could have been done to it and we will not be able to help, however if it is original try the following.
It could be the Windows Installer that is having issues, the best fix is that you download the latest version and install this first before the game. It can be found here:

Scroll down the page to find the Instructions and choose carefully based upon your Operating System. Download the appropriate file and install this, once that is done, reboot the computer and try to install the Sims again.

I BOUGHT FIX IT VERSION 9 TO REPLACE 8. MY PROBLEM IS I CANT DELETE VERSION 8 TO INSTALL 9. MY COMPUTER SAYS I EITHER DONT HAVE ENOUGH DISK SPACE OR FIX IT IS BEING USED BY ANOTHER PROGRAM. BOTH REASONS...

You need to uninstall Fix IT 8 not by deleting it but by uninstalling it through the control panel remove programs.

then install Fix IT 9

It should work fine

I have purchased genuine avanquest system suite 8 pro, due to system problem running software, (mxtask background service) i had to reinstall software. my problem is the registration process will...


well you can go through registry and try to remove all the avanquest entries. and then reboot and try again.

that can be done by going to start then run and type regedit and hit ok

go to edit and find and type in avanquest and start deleting the keys from there....... you will need to back up the registry first.

now after finished with that go to start and run and type msconfig

go to services tab and remove any service related to avanquest.

reboot the computer and start reinstalling the program

Most printer companies suggest you turn off virus software ect, while setting up your printer.
