Plantronics headset connected to Mitel 4025 - won't work!!!!

I've just connected a Plantronics Headset with Handest Lifter to my Mitel 4025. Despite being connected as per the instructions - I can't get a dial tone when I press "call" on the headset. I'm sure I'm, being dense, but I can't find any reason why it won't work!!! I'm desperate for a solution as it needs to be working by this afternoon!!! Help!!!

There are settings on the base station, that you can play with to get this to work properly...

Sorry, I cannot give you the proper settings ~ since I haven't installed one of those in awhile, but when I get to a site, I just play with the settings to get it to work....

You need to have a headset button on the set, and you need a release button if you want to transfer calls to others.
Press the Blue SuperKey and press all the buttons (one at a time) to find a spare button or find one that you do not use or need. Press the * button to change the button (scroll thru the options to find headset).
Once you made the button in to a headset button, press button to turn on or off the headset. Once the button is lit up, this means that the headset is active, now try pressing the call with the receiver off hook.
This should do the trick... if not write back and I will attempt to help you more.
Good Luck!

How can I get my wireless headset CS520 model to answer a call without having to lift the phone receiver first?

A headset button can be added to the phone that when pushed will activate the headset port on the phone. Once added the light will light when headset mode is active. This button can be added through the multi-line set key assignment for in the mitel. I would also suggest added a release button at the same time as the release key would be used to disconnect a call in headset mode.

How do I auto answer using Plantronics Headset (Savi W740) on a Mitel 4250 Phone?

Plantronics makes an adjunct device that attaches to the telephone base (Velcro) and can lift the handset when the button on your headset is pressed. Unfortunately that's the only way to directly integrate the Plantronics (or any other brand) headsets with the Mitel 4XXX series phone. This handset lifter is actually bundled with some of the SAVI headsets, depending on the actual model you get. Separately it's about an additional $50 option. I recall the Plantronics part number is HL-10. Hope this helps.

I have a snom 370 voip phone with the plantronics cs70 headset but there's a bad echo on the callers end so i got the snom wireless headset adapter but i don't know how to connect it. i also have...

We've never dealt with snom wireless adapter but the CS70 and HL10 lifter is a popular set for your phone. there are a couple of things you can try to cut down on the echo.
1. Make sure CS70 is proper distance from phone, minimum of 6" (12" from a PC)
2. Make sure round compatibility dial (located on left side of base) is set correctly. Most phones work on setting #1 (never between numbers)
3. Echoing is usually caused by an improper mix of incoming and outgoing volume. With a friend listening in you can make broad and minor adjustments for both (incoming: back of base (1-4) and +/- on headset; outgoing: bottom of base (a-d) and +/- arrows on back of base).
Following these steps should help you out.

Phone lifter not working. light on top of base not lit up

Try re-pairing the headset to the Plantronics 500A base unit, it sounds like the headset may have lost connection with the base. Here is the link for the pairing instructions:

The Headset Lifter won't pick up the calls. Nothing happens when I push the ear button to lift it up. I thought maybe it wasn't fully charged when I tried it yesterday. At that point, I made...

If the CS70 headset has a charge and beeps when you press the call control button, you may just need to re-pair or re-subscribe the headset to the base unit. Here is a link for the pairing / subscription instructions:

Plantronics CS70 Pairing Instructions

If the headset is not charging, the internal battery may be worn out and the headset may need to be replaced (the battery is hard wired and is not replaceable). The replacement headset is model 72910-01. Below is a link where you can purchase the replacement headset.

Hi, At the office we have a Mitel IP phone we have just bought a headset model JAC0021201- B. We cant get it to work. Please can you advise how we set this up. Regards Trevor

I'm not finding manufacturer detail on this headset, only sales via Amazon, and it's dicey info at that.

So,I'm not certain this headset is compatible.  The only Mitel approved headsets are the Plantronics Polaris models.  These headsets fit into the headset port.  Such headsets require a headset button to be programmed and enabled on the phone to work.  When the phone rings, you will have to press the ringing button, to hang up, you will have to press the cancel button.

Other headset models may work, but require them to be plugged into the handset port and the existing handset will have to be plugged into it's unit.  Such units will require lifting the handset to answer the call and hang it up when completed.  Some such units have an optional lift kit.

I personally use a Plantronics Polaris "in the ear" model.  Plantronics web site has a config guide that will help you select a headset.

good luck,

The handset lifter works, but no sound can be heard or received by either party

If you have a 510a base, then purchased a Plantronics Voyager Pro headset to replace your old headset, it won't work. Those are two different headsets. The Voyager Pro is not meant to work with the 510a base. The correct headset is this:

Plantronics cs60 cordless headset not working properly with Mitel 5220 ip phone. Cant switch between handset and headset. When you lift the handset sound comes from the headset. The same headset works fine...

I'm sorry for being long on my answer here...
The bad thing here is that the CS60 is not a Mitel approved/supported headset. The only headsets that are approved for Mitel Superset or Mitel IP telephones are the Plantronics Polaris model.

BUT many other headsets do work with Mitel telephones. Since they are not "supported" by Mitel, you should contact the headset manufacturer for configuration guidance. Some have dip switches, or dials that need to be in certain positions to work with certain telephone models. This can be different from one phone to another.

Plantronics web site and their support people should be able to guide you to configuring this headset properly for each model phone.

How is the headset and handset connected? It sounds like the CS60 is connected to the handset port of the phone and the handset is connected to the CS60. When you go off hook with the handset, it sends the signal to the CS60 and depending on the switch on the CS60, it will send the signal to either the handset or the headset.

OR

The CS60 is connected to the handset port and the handset is connected to the headset port. To make the headset port work, you must have the CS60 connected to the headset port and the handset connected to the handset port. Set the phone to Headset mode.

Plantronics cs55 problem

Turn on the wireless headset as soon as the HL10 lifter picks up the headset. Remember to press the call answer switch. A steady green light should come on the base and the wireless headset should have a small green blinking light on, on its side.

* Make sure your hand receiver is off the hook when using the headset. Also check that you hear a dial tone on the handset/hand receiver before turning on the headset.
