Question about Toshiba Satellite A65-S1062 Notebook
Hey all, I am trying to upgrade my gf's crappy toshiba sat. a65-1062 laptop. The ATI chipset this mobo uses lists on AMD's website, as being able to take Mobile Pentium 4 procs with up to 800mhz FSB. I purchased this: http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SL6FH and when i install it, the mobo won't even post. when I put the crappy celeron back in, it's fine. I didn't think i'd need to flash bios or anything if I used a supported chip. Am I using the wrong kind of pentium M? Any help is greatly appreciated! TY!
Just because a chip is supported does not mean that it wont need a bios update.
